Working … Oakland View style 🥰🐑🐶

One of my favourite things about working down at the field is the company. Apparently the camper van now has an open-door policy… although some members of staff are taking that a little too literally. 😂

Today’s jobs involve rather a lot of paperwork, but it’s considerably more enjoyable with these faces popping in to supervise.

Oakland View Camper Van Workplace Policy:
🐑 Sheep may visit management but must remain outside unless specifically invited.
🐶 Kyla retains unrestricted access due to seniority.
🥕 Snacks are not part of the employment contract.
💩 Absolutely NO pooing in the workplace.
📄 Anyone entering the camper is expected to make a meaningful contribution to the paperwork.

I genuinely love this part of my life. I can sit here getting work done, doors open, surrounded by the animals and the field I’m slowly building into Oakland View. ❤️🌱

Although judging by that face, I think I’m about to have a grievance lodged about the no-snacks policy. 🤣

🥕🥔 Fresh veg at Oakland View 🥔🥕

We’ve still got plenty of lovely homegrown veg available on the honesty stall:

🥕 Carrots – £1
🫜 Beetroot – 50p each
🥔 Potatoes – £1.50 a bag

📍 We’ve moved the stall slightly!

It’s now just round the corner on the drive. It might not be quite as visible from the road, but it means you can pull safely onto the drive while you stop and pick up your veg, rather than having to stop on the road.

We’ve still got plentiful supplies of potatoes and beetroot at the moment, so please pop in and help yourself. 😊

As always, it’s our honesty stall — just take what you need and leave your payment.

Meet George and Bertie Junior, who joined the Oakland View crew today. 💚

They’ve come to join Rodney and Dell Boy, so we’re now officially a little flock of four.

They’re currently settling in, checking everything out and getting to know their new home. Although judging by this photo, I think one of them may already believe he’s in charge. 😂

If you’re around Garstang, pop down to Oakland View on New House Lane, Winmarleigh — we’ve just restocked our little honesty stall with produce freshly picked and pulled from the field.

The herbs smell absolutely divine — my car currently smells like one enormous herb basket! 😂🌿

Everything is grown here at Oakland View without pesticides or chemical fertilisers, with a real focus on looking after our soil and growing proper, naturally grown food.

The herbs are available for a small donation, and our usual honesty-box payment options are there at the stall.

🥕🍅 Oakland View Veg is now available in Fleetwood! 🥔🌱

We’re really pleased to have a little Oakland View veg stand at Planters on London Street, Fleetwood. ❤️

Fresh from the field this week we have:

🍅 Tomatoes
🥔 Potatoes
🥕 Freshly pulled carrots
🌱 Marrows – our courgettes got a little carried away! 😂

Everything is grown by us at Oakland View, naturally and without chemical pesticides, with lots of care going into building healthy soil and growing proper, seasonal veg.

So if you’re in Fleetwood, pop into Planters on London Street, have a look at their gorgeous plants and pick up some locally grown veg while you’re there. 🌻🥕🍅

We’ve got even more freshly picked vegetables available at Oakland View, New House Lane, Winmarleigh 💚

And we’re particularly pleased with our carrots this year! 🥕 Last year they were a bit of a disaster 😂, but our new raised bed with its sandy soil mix has done us proud — freshly pulled and looking fabulous!

Dell Boy wasn’t feeling too good today, so I sat with him giving him a little extra love. Before long Rodney came over too, wanting cuddles.

This is why I love animals so much. There’s no agenda, no judgement, no expectation. Just presence, trust and unconditional love. Sometimes the greatest therapy is simply sitting in a field with those who ask for nothing but your company. 💚🐑
