💙 SAD SALE OF A MUCH-LOVED GENTLEMAN 💙
17hh | 7yo | Gelding | £14,000
Halifax Van Het Kluizebos × Dollar Girl (Dollar de la Pierre)
⭐️ BS | RIDING CLUB | DRESSAGE | ALLROUNDER | HACK | AMATEUR'S DREAM ⭐️
A really handsome, quality gelding with the most wonderful temperament and a genuinely lovely outlook on life. A horse who is every bit as delightful to have around as he is to ride.
A real best friend, pet and gentleman in every sense. He's the sort of horse you look forward to seeing every morning, and one who will give somebody an enormous amount of pleasure, whatever direction they choose to take him.
Under saddle, he is an absolute delight.
He rides beautifully on the flat, offering a lovely, simple and uncomplicated ride. Naturally balanced with a super active, bouncy canter, automatic changes and a lovely easy feel.
To a fence, he's adjustable, genuine and gives his rider a fantastic feeling. He's a really enjoyable horse to jump, with plenty of quality and ability to continue progressing.
Competition experience:
Although seven years old, he's relatively low mileage in the competition ring, having only been BS registered for the first time this year and lightly competed up to 1.05m.
He's enjoyed plenty of arena hires, training outings and a couple of stay-away shows this season, proving himself an absolute pleasure to take away. Easy to manage, straightforward and lovely to have on the lorry and around the showground.
He is still a little green in the ring for his age, simply through lack of mileage rather than any difficulty. With a little more consistency and ring experience, I genuinely believe he will make a fantastic amateur's competition horse.
Equally, he would be an absolutely wonderful riding club, dressage, allrounder or pleasure horse. He certainly doesn't need a competitive lifestyle to be happy.
And if hacking is your priority, you won't find many better! 🌳
He is exceptionally good to hack, both alone and in company. I would happily send just about anybody down the road on him.
Completely solid in the heaviest of traffic, whether that's quiet country lanes, busy main roads or anything in between. Sensible and reliable in open spaces, with no silliness or unnecessary excitement.
What really makes this horse special is his temperament.
He is not your typical sharp, sensitive competition horse. He's kind, forgiving, genuine and incredibly easy to have in your life.
He can have time off and be brought straight back into work without a second thought. No ifs, no buts and no drama.
He'll happily accommodate a less capable rider without taking advantage or holding a grudge. A genuinely lovely horse who wants to please and makes life easy.
He's the sort of horse who could give a capable amateur plenty of enjoyment in the competition ring, yet be just as happy enjoying leisurely hacks and a varied life with somebody who simply wants a beautiful, safe and quality horse to love.
❤️ A genuinely sad sale, and a wonderful long-term home is of absolute priority.
He is very much loved, and finding the right person for him matters far more than squeezing every last penny out of his price.
£14,000 — sensible negotiation welcomed for the right, loving home.
