This Friday (22nd May) its the Normal Tap. featuring:

The Normal: Supping great Big Dig beers (including Duropolis Rising and Storm Borne) watching the sun set on a long weekend, plus freshly cooked pizzas from the wood-fired pizza oven and great banter.

The Not So Normal: Music from the Milton Thatchers - playing a mix of popular pre-1990 songs/sing-a-long tunes.

Big Dig is all aboard for the Swanage Railway - Diesel Gala and Beer Festival which runs from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 May 2026. We've supplied 3 of the 40 Real Ales and 10 Ciders on offer - all brewed from right here in Dorset! Entry to the Beer Festival is free. If it's anything like last year, it will be a fantastic event. Oh, and there are vintage diesel trains too...toot, toot!

Big Dig are supplying 3 beers (Duropolis Rising, Digging for Gold - Hazy, and Storm Borne) to the Swanage Railway Diesel Gala and Beer Festival, this coming weekend. Overall there will be about 40 Real Ales and 10 Ciders - all from Dorset. If its anything like last year it will be a fantastic event.

Who's ready to get tap-happy this Friday (1st May) at the Tap Your Foot Tap? Big Dig's original brew - Duropolis Rising - will be back. Named after the social media tag used as the Durotriges Project exposed the Iron Age 'city' found on the farm, it's a splendid NEIPA, full of tropical fruit flavours. The foot-tapping will be led by the double keys - strumming amazing acoustic tunes ranging from Fleetwood Mac to Oasis. Plus there'll be Storm Borne and pizzas. The fun starts at 5pm.

Easter is fast approaching, so this Friday is going to be good in so many ways. The Good Tap means Good Friday. Good company. Good food. Good beer... Good grief, what more could you want!

On the beer front there'll be Storm Borne, so good it blew away very quickly at the last tap room, Durnovaria and Spindlewhorl. For food there'll be locally-produced burgers, and you might even catch a glimpse of (and possibly even a taster from) the new pizza oven.

It's a British IPA and has been going down a storm at its early release at the Convivial Rabbit micropub. You won't need an umbrella, just a thirst for adventure!
