As our farming business continues to grow, we’ve been taking on more land around Leafield to help ensure we have enough grazing and forage for all our stock.

With more land comes more work — and more investment! We’ve recently invested in additional fencing equipment to help us securely manage the new areas, keep the stock where they should be and make the most of the grazing available.

Good grazing management is so important for the health and wellbeing of our animals, as well as helping us make the most of the land throughout the year.

It’s been a tough summer with the drought seriously affecting grass growth and grazing. Fields turned yellow and dry, leaving us having to feed hay to help supplement the animals’ diet.

Thankfully, after some much-needed rain in late August and September, we’re finally starting to see the grass come back — and the fields are slowly turning from yellow to green again!

A challenging summer, but hopefully better grazing is now on the way.
