SEPTEMBER CRAFTCLUB - ETHIOPIA CHELICHELE ā˜•ļø

A little look at whatā€™s been in your CRAFTCLUB bags this month. Sourced from the Gedeo Zone and produced by local producer Alemayehu Abera, Chelichele is a naturally processed coffee made with carefully hand-picked, ripe cherries.

For the roast, we went smaller and stretched out the Maillard phase to bring out more of that natural sweetness and acidity, keeping development short and sweet.

The result: jasmine tea, cherry compote and chocolate sweetness. šŸŒøšŸ’šŸ«

For this roast, we wanted to let the coffeeā€™s natural character shine. Grown in the remote MontaƱa Alta region of Guerrero, Mexico, this naturally processed coffee needed careful attention throughout the roast to bring out its vibrant, fruit-forward character. The result is a beautifully balanced cup, with sweet notes of milk chocolate, juicy raspberry and delicate orange blossom. šŸ˜‹

We are excited to launch our new CURIOSITIES coffee. Weā€™ve had a bit of fun with this oneā€¦

CURIOSITIES is an alternate coffee reality. Glitched flavours, ā€˜lavaā€™ grades, Irreal-infusions, oxygen-deprived ferments; coffee oddities laced with surreal stories and Producer obsessions. These beans are not here to make sense, thatā€™s the point. Every CURIOSITY is a small-batch release with its own story going beyond ā€˜limited editionā€™, showcasing recipes and wrapping it up in something that blends together hazy cultural references and loads of other phantastic ideas. Itā€™s all a bit absurd.
