Today’s experiment - Biscoff cake - intentionally crunchy (so not smooth) icing but I won’t do it this way next time - I prefer a smooth consistency. The cake itself was really good - so light and soft I’m really pleased with it. 😀

What a brilliant week of afternoon teas. Yesterday I was so lucky to be asked to cater for an 50 people event at Miniland Farm in Liphook. It’s an amazing SEN primary school and during the school holidays they hold community events. We had 3 groups through the day for afternoon teas and the lovely older guests loved meeting the animals after their sandwiches and cakes - a totally new experience for me (I’ve never served scones and then stroked a ferret and a goat afterwards!) but I loved every minute. Today was back to business as usual with an afternoon tea just for six 😀.
