The Really Good Dairy

The Really Good Dairy The Really Good Dairy is a self service vending machine located on our farm, selling milk and beef produced on farm amongst some other things No need to book!

Our cows produce the most delicious, creamy tasting fresh milk and we are thrilled to be able to share it with you. Our milk is gently pasteurised on site so it has zero air miles and is about as fresh as you can get. It’s not homogenised or standardised, so it keeps that fantastic creamy flavour and is bursting with nutrients. We are proud to be able to sell you a product that is local and eco-fr

iendly, which is why we only sell our milk in reusable glass bottles, which you can purchase on site and bring back time and time again to refill, which we know you’ll want to once you’ve tasted it! So drop in to grab yourself a bottle of our delicious fresh milk. We are open 7.30am-7pm 7 days a week and our vending machine takes both cash or card (bottle machine is cash only).

The fantastic has been working her magic again! Meet Squeak 🩷!!! He was born a whole month early and was absolutely tiny, but with a whole lot of tlc, he’s thriving 🥰 here they are out for a walk in the sunshine the other day! Nicky takes such wonderful care of the calves here at Hollybeds, she knows each and every one individually and most have nicknames to reflect their personalities. They are all very very loved 🩷

How fitting that we did this today on 💪🏼 today our very strong young lady, Grace, had 12 inches of her hair chopped off to donate to to be made into a wig for children fighting cancer. But what’s more amazing is thanks to so many generous donations and milkshake syrup sales, she’s sending over £1500 to go with it!! That will make two wigs, with change left over 🥳 thank you so much to everyone that donated and popped extra money into the honesty box this month, it’s so appreciated and will do amazing things 🩷 we will be sending her hair off this week so there is still time to donate if you like to https://fundraise.littleprincesses.org.uk/fundraising/josephines-fundraising-page2027

Well there really is a first for everything!!! January 4th and we are kicking off the new year with a spot of silaging 🌾❄️ farming 2025 was a challenge to put it mildly. That epically long drought we had meant farmers are facing a desperate shortage in forage to feed their cows until spring. To add to the pressure, the milk price has fallen to a frighteningly low level since October, so needs must. Farmers are resourceful by nature and we’ve already resorted to things like supplementing the cows food with citrus pulp to try to stretch our feed out for as long as possible. But today, for the first time in Hollybeds history, our first cut of silage is underway, 4 months earlier than normal!! This lovely cold frost should prevent the tractors from making too much mess in the fields and the late growth of grass means there is a decent amount to be cut. It seems totally bonkers but hopefully this will ease some pressure for a while 😮‍💨
