Our Farm sits at the top of the National Trust’s Brockhampton Estate in Herefordshire. It is a mixed farm of 550 acres; at its highest point there is a view across 8 counties which is simply breathtaking. James and Victoria Hawkins have farmed here since 2001 and their youngest son Fraser now farms with them. Environmental management is at the heart of the business. Through regeneration and conservation the farmland is being restored.

Introducing the latest edition to the farm.
Harold the Hampshire Down

We are trying something new with our Hebridean sheep this autumn. Combining the fast growth rates and muscle definition of the Hampshire ram with the hardiness and easy lambing of our Hebridean ewes. We’re hoping to produce a bright and better quality lamb to sell from the farm

Big thanks to Archie Roberts for producing such a beauty of a ram that Harold is.

October on the campsite 🏕️

We’re into the final month of our 2026 camping season and it’s not too late to book your trip!
Think cosy nights by the fire, hot chocolate with marshmallows, walks to the pub and superb sunrises

TB testing was made easier this week with a gorgeous sunrise this morning
And a clear test for all our cows 🤩
It’s a stressful process for everyone involved! So it was nice way to end a busy week at Warren Farm
Sadly for Fraser there’s not space for 3 in the cab so he had to settle for the boot on the farm track back from moving the cattle 😅

Some new arrivals at the farm last week 🐄

We sent Fraser down to Devon to buy some new calves, but didn’t expect him to come back with a lorry full 😅
They spent a night inside to make sure they were ok after the journey here and are now all are out grazing on some lush green grass.
As you can tell one of the videos, they’re a friendly bunch so be sure to stop and say hello to them if your walking past the farm over the next few weeks 😊

With this year’s harvest all done and dusted!
We’ve made a start on next years already, and the first crop is our Oilseed r**e.

We have planted it now and it will grow (hopefully) over the winter and produce strong yellow flowers in spring before reaching ripening at the end of July next year. Then it’s ready to be harvested!
Some of the seed each year is used make our own r**eseed oil, all of which is available to buy from are produce shed at the farm 🤩

Apparently yesterday was International Dog Day 🤷‍♂️

We can’t believed we missed it, so here we go.
For those that don’t know them already, we have two dogs at the farm. Moss (sat up) and Badger (laid down). They are both Border Collies and are working dogs
(but they do sleep in the house) 😅
Whether it’s morning cuddles with our coffee or chasing sheep from somewhere they shouldn’t be…
We’d be truly lost without these two 🥰

Believe it or not, but this is what a full site looks like at Warren Farm.
With only 12 tent pitches, you’re guaranteed privacy and peacefulness!
Nearly all our guests last weekend were attending Nozstock The Hidden Valley for their Beefstock event, so a big thanks to the organisers for bringing more people to visit our local area 🤩☺️
