Running a milk round definitely hasn’t all been plain sailing 😅🥛
Over the last six years we’ve made some brilliant decisions… and also some absolutely terrible ones 🤦♀️
(That diesel van we bought after retiring our first vintage electric milk float still gives us nightmares… honestly think it cost us more in repairs than it ever did actually delivering milk 😫)
But despite the breakdowns, stupidly early mornings, steep learning curves and occasional “what on earth are we doing?!” moments… we wouldn’t change it for the world 💛
What really changed everything for us was a simple Facebook post at the start of the first Covid lockdown.
The response completely blew us away and suddenly showed us that there really was a huge demand for fresh local milk deliveries and for supporting local family farms 🥛🐄
Then just SIX weeks later, we rolled out of the farm delivering our own pasteurised milk for the very first time 🚚
Bottled in our own little shipping container right outside the milking parlour… using a vintage milk float we’d bought off eBay 😅
Looking back now it all feels slightly mad.
But that one viral Facebook post gave us the confidence to properly take the plunge and commit to building our local milk round, expanding the team, — and since then it’s gone from strength to strength ✨
Now, six years on, we’re delivering thousands of litres of milk every week to homes, cafés and businesses across the local area using milk from our own cows here on our fifth-generation family farm 🚜
And honestly… none of it would exist without our loyal customers. Hands up if you’ve been with us since that first week?!
Every order, recommendation, social media share and kind comment genuinely helps support British farming and our family business more than you probably realise 💛
So from all of us — thank you.
