🍷 At Rizzo, wine has always been about more than what’s in the bottle.
Behind Rizzo Wine Club is nearly three decades of experience in hospitality and wine, including years spent in some wonderful Michelin-starred restaurants in the UK and Italy.
Those years taught our founder, Gianluca Austin-Rizzo, the importance of quality, attention to detail and great service — but most importantly, that hospitality is about people and creating an experience.
As Gianluca explains:
“For me, it’s all about creating an experience from the moment you step into the Deli, walk into one of our events, or even from the moment we answer your call.
Working in high-end restaurants taught me something quite interesting. People can spend a lot of money on a wonderful meal and physically walk away with nothing to show for it — because what we have really sold them is an experience. A memory. A celebration. And, hopefully, we’ve made their day that little bit better.
When you go shopping, it’s different. You walk away carrying your bags and you can actually see what you’ve spent your hard-earned money on.
*With Rizzo, I want to bring those two worlds together. I want you to leave with the wine, food and Italian goodies you came for, but also feel that you’ve had an experience, learned something, shared a conversation or simply enjoyed being looked after. *You should leave with something in your hands and, hopefully, a memory too.”
That’s really what we want Rizzo to be.
Friendly, approachable and relaxed, while keeping the same care and attention whether you’re joining us for a special wine dinner, attending a tasting, travelling to Italy with us, or simply popping into Rizzo Deli for a bottle of wine.
Because for us, wine is a celebration. There’s a little bit of magic in every bottle, and it always tastes better when it’s shared. 🍷❤️

On Thursday 22nd October, we’ll bring a taste of Campania and Irpinia to Worcester for a special evening at Benedictos.
Together with a representative from Vinosia Winery, we’ll explore this beautiful part of Southern Italy, its volcanic vineyards and its wonderful native grapes.
