Sunday shout out to the seaside! 🌊

If you're down on Brighton seafront this weekend, say hello to our friends at The World Famous Pump Rooms. They're one of our most loyal stockists anywhere, and they won't stock another dairy ice cream, only Bennetts.

Last proper beach weekend of summer before tomorrow's bank holiday, so if you're by the sea, grab a scoop and tell us which flavour you went for 🍦

It’s National Dog Day, and we’re celebrating the four-legged regulars who join their owners on every ice cream trip.

We’re also proud to stock Waggy Doggy Ice Cream. The team behind it has been making proper dog-first ice cream for more than ten years.

For World Photography Day, we're pulling back the curtain on our professional food photography: Andy behind the camera, Liz on styling, and more retakes than either of them expected before a scoop even thinks about melting 😅

Becketts Farm Shop makes cupcakes so good, we’ve never dared add anything to them. 🧁

Other cupcakes, however, provide the perfect opportunity for a little experimentation…

Every batch of our ice cream must be taste-tested on site before it leaves the factory. Today, with a freshly baked cupcake close at hand, there was only one sensible thing to do: add a scoop of Vanilla with Seeds. 🍦

Purely in the interests of quality control, of course.

There's a robot on our roof and it's the most watchable thing to happen up there all year 🤖☀️

Some days we do wonder what it would be like to deliver crisps 🚚

A pallet of crisps left in a warm van for an hour is still a pallet of crisps. Do that with ours and we are left with a whole lot of "milkshake"!

So with the summer we are having, every one of our smaller vans has just been through a full service by Alex - one of our refrigeration engineers - as we wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly. Thankfully nothing was wrong with any of them, so we are cracking on as usual! 🍦

Two entries. Two Great Taste stars 🌟

We put just two entries forward this year, and both came back with a star at the Great Taste Awards 2026.

The judges said our Clotted Cream & Blackcurrant "really delivers the flavour and texture of clotted cream", with "pieces of sharp blackcurrant fruit" that "cut through the richness really well". Our dairy free Raspberry Sorbet was "sharp, vibrant and clean", tasting "of authentic raspberries without being overly sweet or sugary". Every entry is judged completely blind, so it was the ice cream and sorbet doing the talking.

Your dog doesn't hate ice cream 🍦 you just bought the wrong flavour 🐾

We spotted it again at the Three Counties Food & Drink Festival this year: loads of owners telling us "my dog won't touch ice cream." The culprit? Human flavours like vanilla, strawberry and mint. Lovely to us, boring to a nose built for the strong stuff.
