Cutting a thirty month aged Reggiano in front of an audience of passers by this morning in front of our shop in Oxford’s Covered Market. Enlisted the help of a young father watching with his young family. We’re selling this premium cheese at £33 per kilo. We’ve just ordered eight 40kg Cheeses direct from Reggio Emilia to arrive in Oxford early October.

Good to see the Broad Street Twigs have prospered in the hot weather we’ve experienced in Oxford City this summer.
There to embellish the view of one the most recognisable facades in Broad Street, the Twigs are now a permanent feature much admired by visiting tourists from home and abroad.

Just in VALLEY DROVER, a seasonal raw milk sheep’s milk cheese from the Wye Valley.
The season’s lambs take priority and when weaned milking of the small flock can begin.
We can vouch for the fact that this is sustainable and ethical farming at its best.
We’ll write more about this farm and the couple who run it on our Reluctant Cheesemonger website .

TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS 10am to 4pm
THURSDAYS 10am to 6.30pm

The awning was delivered a couple of feet short in width!
They’re very lucky we’re not naming the company or the individual who managed to measure the space allocated inaccurately to such an extent. We’re very excited about the project and will be posting the concept and progress soon.
