BACK ONCE AGAIN!

A week of live music, homebrewing with an Oktoberfest twist and it’s Album Club at B**r No Evil HQ. Plus, of course - LOADS of delicious drinks! Including W**E WEDNESDAY - 10% Off All W**e Drink In or Takeaway!

First up, tonight it’s early Last Orders at 6:30 as we prepare for our latest Hear No Evil Session. Hannah Scott joins us for a SOLD OUT acoustic gig. Thanks to everyone who’s bought tickets —we’re looking forward to seeing you!

Wednesday is Homebrew Club at 7:30pm, with a bierFEST special focused on German styles. A friendly get-together where we try each other’s b**rs and talk brewing. Don’t worry if you have noting to bring or you’re just curious. Come along anyway.

Then on Thursday at 7:30pm, if you like talking music it’s Album Club as we get into Inform–Educate–Entertain by Public Service Broadcasting, chosen by Matt. Like a book group, but for an album!

AND… our 8th birthday weekend is coming up! And we’ve decided to extend celebrations to the WHOLE WEEKEND from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October, with 8 b**rs from some of our favourite breweries, a Kitchen Disco and BYO Vinyl. More birthday details tomorrow. But, get those dates in the diary!

We’re taking it nice and easy today, spinning vinyl on our vintage record player and letting our excellent vintage sound system do what it does best. Come in, settle down, have a drink and see what finds its way onto the turntable. Or, if your Sunday plans are more sofa-shaped, remember we’re an off-licence too. YOU SAW THE…FRESH DROPS. AND ONE SAW THE WHOLE OF THE MOON…

Leading this week’s arrivals is HEY MOON from ABYSS: a 6% IPA brewed with Eggers’ 2026 New Moon Harvest Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand’s Moutere Valley.

Yes, NEW MOON HARVEST. The hops are harvested according to the lunar cycle in a biodynamic-style approach. Our mates ABYSS describe the result as green and fresh, with citrus fruit, dank notes and a bold resinous edge. It’s an epic b**r and we reckon it’s going to fly.

We’ve also some restocks and we go Westside and over the border to Mexico…

On the restock we go noisy with ABYSS Superfuzz - Hazy IPA, 5.6%. AF lushness with Microdose; West Coast Best Coast? London’s Hammerton and a heck of a colab with RedWillow x Northern Monk let you decide while Pastore go cocktail with a Blood Orange Margarita Sour.

OCTOBER. IT’S OUR 8TH BIRTHDAY MONTH! SO WE’RE NOT EXACTLY EASING OURSELVES IN…

FIRST…On Sunday 25 October, B**R NO EVIL TURNS EIGHT, with the East Worthing Jukebox Society there will be cake and hopefully DANCING!

Homebrew Club keeps Octoberfest vibes going with our bierFEST Challenge on Wednesday 14 October, with everyone brewing German b**r styles.

Then Album Club celebrates its FOURTH birthday on Thursday 15 October. Four years of listening, talking, occasionally disagreeing and giving whole albums the attention they deserve.

Then the turntables are warmed up at Rotation on Thursday 29 October for our October Finale as we finish the month with a SATURDAY NIGHT HALLOWEEN Day of the Dead BYO Vinyl Special on Saturday 31 October.

We’ll share more about everything as the month unfolds. For now, get those dates in the diary!

bierFEST 2026: ONE LAST SUNDAY.

Our bierFEST Closing Party runs from 12–6pm today, with music from 2pm courtesy of The Mighty Joe Black and Ruprekt Scheisse.

Expect a KrautroktoberFEST journey through Kraftwerk, Can, Kompakt, Innervisions, Jazzanova and whatever else escapes the record bags.

Before the records start, we’re meeting at B**r No Evil at 10:45am for our Beach Clean. Come and help us show the seafront a little love and enjoy 10% off as a thank you for getting involved.

L***R. Is it still a dirty word?

New Blog Post on our website…

For plenty of people, it means one thing: pale, freezing cold, highly fizzy and designed to taste of very little.

That b**r exists. LOTS of it exists. But letting mass produced pretending to be European b**r represent the whole world of l***r isn’t right.

Helles, Pilsner, Märzen, Dunkel, Schwarzbier, Kellerbier, Vienna l***r, smoked l***r…crisp, hoppy, dark, toasty, richly malty and occasionally reminiscent of a wood fire on a cold autumn evening. They are coming aren’t they?

And fun fact dark b**r lovers - Baltic Porter is technically a l***r. Cold fermented and l***red (or stored) for often months to give it its rich but clean character.

Properly made l***r also takes time, effort and precision. Its clean flavour leaves brewers with very few places to hide—which makes the increasingly interesting l***rs being produced by independent UK breweries even more worth exploring.

So, as we head into bierFEST this weekend, we’ve written a new blog looking at the much wider world covered by that one slightly misunderstood word.

If l***r has always meant bland and interchangeable to you, come with an open mind. We’d like to try changing it.

L***r isn’t boring. Boring, mass-produced l***r is boring.

BACK ONCE AGAIN…THIS WEEK AT B**R NO EVIL…It’s time for bierFEST!!!!

This week, we’re giving L***R a little more respect. Ooo just a little bit! Sorry, not sorry…

Tomorrow we’ll be sharing a new blog about why l***r is far more interesting than its slightly beige reputation suggests. Helles, Pilsner, Märzen, smoked l***r and plenty more besides—it’s a family of b**rs, not one cold fizzy thing.

Then we’ll be heading along one of our favourite Strassen as this weekend is bierFEST!

Four of our taps will be taken over by some of the top UK l***r producers. Oh yes. But don’t worry Pale heads, we’ll have you covered too.

And don’t forget SUNDAY is KRAUTROCKTOBERFest with The Mighty Joe Black.

Also on Sunday it’s BEACH CLEAN. So, come down, do some good then get involved in the bierFEST closing party. YEAH!!!

With all the delicious b**rs, we’ll also be giving our refill flagons another nudge towards the weekend. There are still an awful lot of them hiding in cupboards around Worthing…
