This Friday I debut my 80s-inspired supper club, cooked and hosted by me in my home at Cicely House.

I’ve loved planning and taste-testing the menu to make sure each dish delivers on flavour - with a few surprises along the way.

It’s an intimate BYOB dinner for eight, with an eclectic old-school 80s playlist as a backdrop and a handful of nostalgic touches. The emphasis is firmly on having a marvellous time. I’ve always felt that good food is the perfect vehicle for conversation, so whether you come on your own or bring a friend, you’ll feel completely at home.

Friday was the very first of my supper clubs - this one with a 70s-inspired theme.

My menu brought together classics from the decade, with my own twists shaped by childhood memories, and I loved sharing a bit of those stories as I introduced each dish throughout the evening.

It turned into exactly the kind of night I’d hoped for: relaxed company, great food, interesting conversation, plenty of laughter, with the odd board game thrown in.

I’ll be working on different themes, but what they’ll all have in common is delicious home-cooked food, warmth and good humour.
