Fionas Farmhouse Kitchen We rear/sell rare breed animals/meat & more recently homebaking from a little shack.

Inspired by fundraising for my boys overseas aid expeditions, after 30 yrs nursing I now create produce from our smallholding, foraged from the wild or sourced locally.

Oh & the very undignified backward roll down the bank, just missing the river ( fully clothed) whilst attempting to to take a selfie of the gang . Huge thanks to Tracey , the only one who attempted to save me , I may add 😂😂

Did a lovely hike to ‘Jabz cave ‘, a limestone outcrop on Fremington Edge, named after 19th century Reeth poet Raisbeck Jabez, who used the spot for inspiration.

We had a steep climb up Fremington through the fields & the beautiful wild flowers that punctuated our path, then a very scenic walk along the side of Fremington, followed by a scramble up the rocky cliff side to the hidden cleft with the ‘stone throne’ & its deep cave hidden behind .

Obviously we had to do a stop off for lunch at the Bike centre to sample yet more of their delights !Todays was ‘mushrooms, spinach, chestnut stuffing & cranberry sauce on ciabatta’ Oh my lord , my favourite so far !

A slow walk back to Reeth & another very lovely stop at the Ice cream parlour!! More coffee & cake ❤️
