This skin patterning was not wanted after the development of the Blue Grey but occured as a throwback consigned to the fattening shed until 2 Galloway breeders swopped bulls. Now a committed band has formed The Riggit Galloway Cattle Society in order to preserve them.

Herd Dispersal - Stonehouse Herd

Stonehouse herd have been breeding Riggits and active members of the society since 2011. The partnership has decided to exit the breed which they have enjoyed for the last 15 years especially the friendships they have made along the way and wish the breed and breeders every success for the future. So, anyone looking to start up a herd or expand here goes…..
