OK, I'm not the tallest of chaps but it's lovely to see the fern from a crop we ceased harvesting from one month ago, towering above me. Healthy, so far but if we don't get rain soon, lack of water will surely stress the crop. 😬

A strange one to end the season - two Immigration Enforcement Officers turning up to do a spot check after a 'tip off' we might be illegally employing overseas workers. Glad to say they left the farm happy and with a greater understanding of the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Scheme.
Someone clearly bears a grudge. Perhaps they bought a dodgy bunch of asparagus. 😉😂

Making the most of the last week of our Yorkshire asparagus season.
Yes, lovely friends, the season is coming to a close and it's time to let those green spears grow and develop into beautiful fern. We are harvesting all week and will be open for sales in our shop until Sunday 14th June.
Grab it whilst you can. 😀
