Sometimes it’s the little things that remind us just how lucky we are to have the customers we do.

What an absolutely INCREDIBLE weekend for Totally Caked!

TWO markets. TWO colossal sell outs. And thousands of bakes finding their way into your homes!

But amongst all the madness this weekend, something happened today at Skirlington that really made us smile.

Meet Claire!

Claire comes to see us at Skirlington Market EVERY SINGLE SUNDAY without fail.

Every week, she’s there picking out cakes for herself and her mum and dad. She’s always supporting us, commenting on our posts and showing our little family business so much love.

Well, today she turned up with something a little different.

SHE’D BAKED US A CAKE!

How lovely is that?!

We’re so used to being the ones making cakes for everyone else, so to have one of our customers go out of her way to bake something especially for us was just the loveliest surprise.

Claire, honestly, thank you SO much. It was such a thoughtful thing to do, and it really meant a lot to both me and Laura.

Yes, the huge stalls, the ridiculous queues and the sell outs are incredible.

But it’s the people we meet along the way who make Totally Caked what it is.

People who started out as customers and have become familiar faces we genuinely look forward to seeing every single week.

And Claire is a perfect example of that.

To EVERYONE who came to see us at Beverley and Skirlington this weekend, thank you for another absolutely phenomenal couple of days.

And to Claire, thank you for making this Sunday that little bit more special.

We’ve got the BEST customers. We really do.

SKIRLINGTON MARKET, WE’VE GONE COMPLETELY MAD!

70 DIFFERENT BAKES!

Yes, you read that right. SEVENTY!

Yesterday at Beverley Market, we brought what we thought was our biggest variety EVER.

Well, less than 24 hours later, we’ve gone and beaten it!

Every single inch of our 20ft stall is absolutely STACKED with Yorkshire’s Boldest Bakes!

Brownies, cookie pies, stuffed cookies, rocky roads, millionaire shortbreads, cookie pizzas and SO MUCH MORE!

And with all the brand new creations we’ve been bringing out lately, choosing what to take home is getting harder by the week!

Now, here’s something that’s starting to feel very real…

Including today, we’ve only got THREE Sundays left at Skirlington’s current location!

After more than 40 years, it’s nearly the end of an era for this incredible market.

But it’s not goodbye! Skirlington 2.0 will be back just across the road in April next year!

Until then, we’re making every Sunday COUNT!

And today, we’ve brought one of the biggest selections we’ve EVER put together!

So come and see us, guys!

The stall is STACKED from one end to the other with Yorkshire’s Boldest Bakes, and we’re already off to another CRAZY Saturday!

FOUR more brand new bakes are joining our already INSANELY MEGA line up at Beverley Market tomorrow!

Chocolate Crunch Cake loaded with Kinder goodness!

Stroopwafel Cookie Pizza that’s an absolute CARAMEL OVERLOAD!

Aero Rocky Road that I can personally confirm is EPIC!

And a Gingerbread Stuffed Cookie with a gingerbread cinnamon swirl hiding inside!

That’s FIVE incredible additions to an already ridiculous selection of Yorkshire’s Boldest Bakes!

And trust us, choosing what to take home isn’t going to be easy!

Somewhere between the long days, manic weekends, early nights and even earlier mornings, I realised I needed to press the STOP button for a minute.

Tonight, it’s just me and my girl.

Daddy daughter date night.

No markets. No cake. No work. No rushing around thinking about what needs doing next.

Just some proper time with Gracie.

We’re heading out to one of our favourite restaurants, just the two of us, and tonight she gets all of me.

Running a business together can consume you if you let it. There is ALWAYS something that needs doing, something that needs planning or something else me and Laura could be working on.

We work as hard as we do because of our family and the future we’re trying to build together.

But there’s absolutely no point working that hard for your family if you forget to stop and actually spend time WITH them.

She’s 10 years old.

And I’m very aware that these years aren’t going to wait for me to finish work.

It feels like five minutes ago she was tiny, and somehow I’m already taking this little 10 year old version of her out for dinner.

That’s why nights like tonight matter.

It’s not about doing anything extravagant. It’s about putting everything else to one side and giving my daughter something that gets harder and harder to find when life gets busy.

Time.

Just me and her. Talking, laughing, eating far too much and making memories together.

Because however busy life gets, being Dad will always be one of the most important jobs I’ll ever have.

So tonight, everything else can wait.

My phone can stay in my pocket.

Totally Caked will still be there tomorrow.

Tonight, I’ve got a date with one of the most important people in my world.

Just Dad and Gracie.

What a weekend for Totally Caked.

Two markets. Two monster set ups. Two complete sell outs.

There’s something pretty special about watching an entire weekend condensed into just two minutes.

From arriving at Beverley on Saturday morning with an empty 24ft stall in front of us, to watching that entire thing disappear. Then getting up and doing it ALL OVER AGAIN at Skirlington on Sunday.

The amount of work that goes into making these weekends happen is ridiculous, but when we stand back and watch something like this, it really does make every single hour worth it.

And this weekend got us thinking about just how far Beverley has come.

It’s now been a whole YEAR since we took a chance on a market we’d never traded at before.

We’d had so many messages telling us we needed to come to Beverley, so eventually we listened.

And what a decision that turned out to be.

Our original 12ft stall became 24ft within weeks.

People who came to see us for the first time became familiar faces.

Familiar faces became weekly regulars.

And somewhere along the way, Beverley became a huge part of Totally Caked.

We absolutely LOVE our Saturdays there.

So now we want MORE of you to experience it.

If you’ve been following us for months, liking the posts, watching the Reels and seeing these ridiculous stalls get cleared out week after week, but you’ve never actually stood in front of that 24ft line up and tried to decide what you’re taking home…

You need to come and see us.

Bring the family. Make a day of it. Have a wander around Beverley and come and see exactly why our Saturday’s have become what they have.

We’ll keep doing our bit.

We’ll keep bringing the ridiculous selection.

We’ll keep creating new bakes.

And we’ll keep loading that 24ft stall from one end to the other with Yorkshire’s Boldest Bakes.

All we need you to do is come hungry.
