As some of you will remember, we had to close for a couple of days last week. This was to unblock a pipe under our restaurant, upon further inspection they found a collapsed pipe. While the blockage has been fixed, the ongoing issue of the collapse is being investigated. As far as we know for now, major works will need to be done to repair it. This will mean digging down through our beautiful new restaurant, as well as the removal of some walls. Meaning we will have to close while the work is carried out.

We’re absolutely heartbroken. It’s been hard to come to terms with, and although we don’t know exactly when or for how long we’ll need to close for at the moment, we thought it was best to share it with you all.

We’re open as normal for now, so please come, enjoy, eat and drink to your hearts content. As soon as we have more information on the matter we will update everyone.

TUESDAY OPEN FROM MIDDAY
IMPORTANT INFO: We’ve had some extremely infuriating misleading information from York council regarding our premises licence. We will therefore be unable to serve alcohol today. All customers, walk ins and bookings are welcome to bring their own alcohol with them today. Our licence will be in place and back to normal from tomorrow.
