Our classic hedgerow botanicals 🌿

Alongside the classic gin botanicals, angelica, juniper, and orris root, our gin and botanical vodka are distilled with elderflower, rosehips, nettle leaves, crab apples, sloe stones, and meadow hay, all hand foraged from our beautiful local hedgerows.
These botanicals go on to create our classic and flavoured gins, each inspired by the landscape around us.

Every batch is hand foraged, carefully tasted at each stage, and handmade in small batches to keep our process local, traditional, and true to its roots, capturing the North Yorkshire hedgerows in every bottle.

Hedgerow Week 🌿

A wonderful week celebrating and raising awareness of the incredible, essential hedgerows across the UK.

Here at Green Farm, they are at the heart of what we do. In fact, they are where it all began!

An initiative to leave the hedgerows on Green Farm to grow freely by our founder, Joff, led to an abundance of sloes, and that is how Sloemotion Distillery was born back in 2002!

We love them, and we do all we can to protect them.

Happy Earth Day 🌍

For us, looking after the environment isn’t something we think about once a year, it’s part of how we run things every day.

Since 2002, we’ve been building a distillery that not only makes liqueurs and spirits we’re proud of but does so in a way that respects and supports the place around us.

Our Green Farm site gives us a lot. Our botanicals, the hedgerow wildlife, and the landscapes we work in every day. We try to return that in practical ways: plastic free packaging, composting, locally sourced energy and materials, and our eco iStill (to name a few!).

Happy Earth Day, let’s celebrate and protect our planet (more details on our ongoing eco efforts soon)! 🌱
