Things are moving along nicely down at Wicks Brew Co based underneath the Red Lion at Bloxham near Banbury. Floors ready to be laid whilst vessel construction is well underway. Still a fair bit of installing to go before we start brewing, but there is now some light at the end of the tunnel

The end of a very rewarding week and we got beer into bottle. It's been a full on six months to find equipment, get it shipped to Ibiza and installed and finally brew. So the last piece of the jigsaw and get the first brews filtered and packaged.

So if any of you lucky lot are heading to Ibiza for a week or two's relaxation the look out for Gordita beers (so far just lager and IPA but more will follow). You can find the brewery on Google maps if you want to call in and buy some beer.

It's been a five week wait to get this beauty delivered from Lincolnshire to Ibiza, but it finally arrived this week. We've hopefully got it installed and working ( with a few tweaks still required), so we're all ready to filter and bottle some beer this coming week.

Happy Fathers Day to all who qualify for such a privilege. Today by coincidence, I also celebrate an event which preceded fatherhood by a good ten years, starting my first job as a trainee brewer and, just like fatherhood, consider it a privilege to have been involved in a great industry full of good friends and great beers. I always feel very proud when these significant milestones are reached to have been in at the start. It's great to see how breweries have grown over the years and, like Fyne Ales, become firm favourites of the craft beer scene. Well done to all concerned and here's to the next 25 years.

Another week has passed very quickly, but we now have another brewery up and running; and a slight change of scene as this one is on Ibiza. A great team effort to get the brewery installed, cleaned and all hands on deck to mash in. A successful first brew is now gently fermenting and we'll be back next week for more of the same.
