So in clearing out the brewery I came across a bag full of my favourite broad beans in the freezer. I took them home and ate them yesterday, superb! Whoever brought them in for me thank you! Cheers Jonny

Fancy a last hurrah? We roll again on Friday for one last round! £1 a pint on Farmer and Bantam, we have 140 pints of each to go at....no food, only a few seats, small selection of wines and soft drinks and it's CASH ONLY please, our card machines have been returned.

All beers still on, Bantam best, Cool Vitra and Flummoxed Farmer all on draft, Jewel of York lager and Cool Citra on keg. We also have the very popular Piquante Street Kitchen with us and also back by popular demand the Ukulele band....

Hi all, the rumours are correct we will be closing down from the 12th Sept. Friday evenings are great and the guys who turn out week after week have been tremendous but those 6 hours simply don't pay the bills. We are running at break even right now but that's only with me putting in 50 hours a week, using my own van for deliveries and not taking a bean out of the company . Not a recipe that can continue for me at my age!
There's been some great help along the way too, Karl doing all the bag in boxes for us, Mick doing whatever is needed, the taproom girls as they are called on my WhatsApp group, Kaleb, otherwise known as Keira who tells me what to do daily....big Pete who carried a piano out on his back, Baz on security , all the caterers that we have had and the great bands too.
We will spring up again somewhere when we find the right site so it's not the end of Ainsty Ales Brewery, more of a pause...
I'll see you all next Friday so please stop me for a natter esp. if you've got a dog with you!
