🏺 TRIALETI FRESCO - HISTORY PRESERVED IN ART

In the garden of the SHUMI Tourist Complex, you can discover a remarkable work of art - the Trialeti Fresco, inspired by the central frieze of the famous Trialeti Bowl.

The original bowl is made of silver and belongs to the Trialeti culture - an archaeological culture of Transcaucasia dating back to the Bronze Age, specifically the first half of the 2nd millennium BC, and distinguished by the high level of its local jewelry craftsmanship.

The fresco depicts a ritual procession of priests. Holding bowls in their outstretched hands, they move towards a throne upon which the supreme deity is seated.

✨ An interesting detail: a copy of the silver Trialeti Bowl is also displayed at the SHUMI Wine Museum - the first wine museum in Georgia - while the original is preserved at the National Museum of Georgia.

ფრესკაზე გამოსახულია ქურუმების რიტუალური პროცესია - ისინი გაწვდილი ხელებით, თასებით ხელში, მიემართებიან ტახტისკენ, რომელზეც უზენაესი ღვთაება ზის.
