Legacy Lodge #1184 was deeply honored to participate in a truly profound and uplifting St. John’s Day Celebration in reverent observance of St. John the Evangelist. The ceremony radiated light, meaning, and spiritual depth, reminding every Brother of the sacred foundations upon which our Craft is built.

The observance stood as a powerful expression of our timeless Masonic virtues — Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth — calling us to walk in unity, wisdom, and moral courage. It was a moment of reflection that renewed our commitment to live as beacons of light within our lodges, our communities, and our daily lives.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Luxor Grand Lodge, its distinguished officers, visiting brethren, and all participating lodges for a masterfully organized and spiritually enriching program. Our sincere gratitude also goes to Minister Dennis Staton for delivering a stirring and impactful message that inspired faith, encouraged service, and strengthened our resolve to labor faithfully in God’s vineyard.

The scripture readings, heartfelt prayers, uplifting musical selections, and insightful remarks from Grand Lodge leadership combined to make this celebration truly unforgettable. Such gatherings remind us that Freemasonry is not merely an institution, but a living brotherhood bound by shared values, purpose, and love for humanity.

Did you know we have 147 members with more than forty years service? Or which lodge is a One hundred and one mile flight (for a seagull) away from Grand Lodge in London? No? Neither did some of the teams at the grand final of this years Dorset Masonic quiz.

Teams from Montagu Lodge in Lyme Regis, Northbourne Lodge in Kinson and Friendship and Sincerity in Shaftesbury travelled to Wareham, and The Lodge of St Martin this week for the final of the 2025 Dorset Masonic quiz.

With a 'normal' round, a multiple choice round, a ritual round, a random round, a picture quiz and the peoples favourite; the buzzer round, there was something for all three teams, plus the hastily formed two ad-hoc teams.

With the lead changing hands several times during the evening, Northbourne Lodge were crowned champions after a frantic final round.

Special mention to one of Dorset's newest members, Tom, who won his ad-hoc team some points and demonstrating that even though he has only been a member for a month.
