A little business lesson from today. 🍅
I stopped by one of the market women I supply to buy something else, and while I was there, I noticed her sell just 3 tomatoes for GHS 20.
It reminded me that I've been supplying her tomatoes at GHS 45 per kilo—roughly 15 tomatoes, depending on the size.
Sometimes, as producers and suppliers, we underestimate the value we're offering because we're often disconnected from the final retail market.
I'm grateful to be able to offer fresh, farm-gate tomatoes at prices that allow my customers to earn a living while still giving consumers quality produce.
