FOR SALE: 5-ACRE (EXPANDABLE UP TO 15 ACRES) BANANA FARM IN KOMENDA (CENTRAL REGION): We are selling our solar powered, drip-irrigated 5-acre banana farm (expandable up to 15 acres) in Komenda (Central Region), 30 minute drive from Komenda Junction.
SALE PRICE: GHS 100,000 (or US$8,500) – this includes the full 15 acres and all equipment.
We have a 50-year lease on the land, with only 4 years used up. The lease has a 50-year lease extension option as well.
The farm has a fully-integrated solar-powered drip irrigation system with battery storage, a backup generator, a 10K Litre poly tank for storing water, borehole and borehole pump, surface pump, 5 acres of drip lines and drippers, extra drip lines, and a storage unit for the control panels for the solar panels and batteries.
All necessary CAPEX for the 5-acres developed has already been purchased.
There are already regular buyers for the bananas – both locally around Komenda and major supermarket buyers in Accra.
Additionally, some of the farm's land can be developed or converted to grow other crops, i.e. okra, chilli peppers, onions, coconut, palm, etc.
There is also experienced staff on the ground.
We are selling this business because we are shifting our focus away from primary production farming and instead to our heavy equipment rental business in Accra.
