We can explain to you why we are the BEST catfish people in the world, but the HOW remains a mystery.

The golden eagle — Aquila chrysaetos — is one of the most studied raptors in ornithology.

Researchers at the British Trust for Ornithology have documented its hunting process in detail. The eagle circles at altitude — sometimes 1,000 feet or higher — reading the terrain below. Wind speed. Prey movement. Angle of approach. All of this assessment happens before the dive.

When the decision is made, it folds and drops.
150 miles per hour in some documented dives. Talons forward. Eyes locked on a single point.
It does not circle back to reconsider. Does not second-guess the angle halfway down. Does not perform the decision for an audience.

The assessment happened at altitude.
The ex*****on happens in committed silence.
I think about the decisions you've been talking about instead of making.

The ones you've explained to everyone around you — getting their input, fielding their opinions, building a committee around something that ultimately only you can decide.
The assessment is the most important phase. Think hard there. Look at the wind, the distance, the angle. Do that work properly.
But at some point the assessment has to become the dive.
And the dive doesn't come with an explanation.
It comes with commitment.
The eagle doesn't justify its strike to the prey.
It arrives.

CHRONICLING THE HUSTLE

Procurement of 1.1 tons of fresh catfish 160km away, 320km in and out trip. Fish must reach The CROFT alive for our grillers and point-and-kill customers; otherwise, we lose significantly... the least delay will be disastrous! The carrier, our so loved Samsung Yamouzine mini truck, the backbone transporter of The CROFT.

The clutch was problematic; it was difficult to shift into any gear. While managing with 2nd and third gear, two back tyres on the driver's side blew, 35 minutes apart, far from the next community. Stranded, I was.

The problem can only be solved with a solution from Techiman, 90 mins away. I pulled out my phone and called the Transport and Procurement Manager, Igwe Baba, and in 35 minutes, he pulled up in grand style with a mechanic and two brand new tyres.

About 40 minutes later, all the problems were resolved, and we moved.

God bless The Eagles' CROFT, the dedicated staff, clients and customers, our holy host village and headquarters of Techiman-Akisimasu, and all the kind people of this village. They have shown so much love and support for The CROFT since our inception five years ago.
