The DIAMANTAKIS winery was founded in 2007 by the family members of Nicholaos G. Diamantakis: Ioannis, Michalis and Zacharias.

The first two are third-generation vine-growers who have extensive experience in viticulture and are in charge of the winery’s vineyards; whereas Zacharias, having studied oenology, is involved in the process of winemaking and promoting the wine. The winery is a modern new producer of quality wines in Crete. It is located southwest of the city of Heraklion in the heart of the province Malevizi, outside the village of Kato Asites and the historic Monastery of St. George Gorgolaini, in the eastern foothills of Psiloritis at an altitude of 450 meters, a region with a long history in vine cultivation and the production of wines and spirits. The family’s love and passion for quality wine, combined with their long tradition in viticulture, led to the creation of a small winery in the region for processing grapes from 70 acres of privately owned land, on which several varieties of grapes are cultivated: Greek, local and international. To these were added another 25 acres, arranged in terraces and planted in the spring of 2010.

🍷 W**es@Fortezza 2026 | Ευχαριστούμε!
Άλλη μία όμορφη βραδιά αφιερωμένη στο κρητικό κρασί ολοκληρώθηκε και είμαστε ιδιαίτερα χαρούμενοι που το Οινοποιείο Διαμαντάκης ήταν μέρος της. Ευχαριστούμε θερμά όλους όσοι επισκέφθηκαν το περίπτερό μας, δοκίμασαν τις ετικέτες μας και μοιράστηκαν μαζί μας τη χαρά της γνωριμίας και της συζήτησης γύρω από το κρασί και τον κρητικό αμπελώνα. Θα θέλαμε επίσης να συγχαρούμε και να ευχαριστήσουμε το Δίκτυο Οινοποιών Κρήτης (W**es of Crete), τον Δήμο Ρεθύμνης και την Περιφέρεια Κρήτης για την άψογη συνδιοργάνωση της έκθεσης, καθώς και όλους τους χορηγούς και υποστηρικτές που συνέβαλαν στην επιτυχία αυτής της ξεχωριστής διοργάνωσης.

🍷 Welcoming the Association of Sommeliers Salzburg to Diamantakis W**ery

On June 15th, we welcomed 17 members of the Association of Sommeliers Salzburg as part of their w**e journey across Crete. Hosted by co-owner and oenologist Zacharias Diamantakis, the group enjoyed a tour of the w**ery and a tasting of our w**es. Thank you for your visit! We look forward to welcoming you again.

🌟 Diamantakis W**ery in Sweden & Norway 🌟

Three days, two countries! From Greece to Sweden and Norway, we were delighted to participate in two great w**e events in Stockholm and Oslo from May 6–8 🍷
Zacharias Diamantakis was there, along with our w**e “diamonds” from Crete, so happy to take part in it! Liatiko, Vidiano & Assyrtiko were poured in the glasses of our prestigious guests: sommeliers, w**e buyers, importers, w**e journalists, retailers, restaurants, hotels! All enthusiasts and fans of high-quality Greek w**es! Thank you for coming! We hope to see you soon!

A big thank you to the Greek W**e Federation for organizing and taking care of everything, as well as to Norwegian W**e Communication and W**e Hub for their warm hospitality and support!

🌟 Το Οινοποιείο Διαμαντάκη στην Σουηδία & Νορβηγία 🌟

Τρεις ημέρες, δύο χώρες! Από την Ελλάδα στη Σουηδία και την Νορβηγία, βρεθήκαμε στην Στοκχόλμη και το Όσλο από τις 6 έως τις 8 Μαΐου, για δύο ξεχωριστά οινικά δρώμενα 🍷
Ο Ζαχαρίας Διαμαντάκης ήταν εκεί, μαζί με τα "“ιαμαντένια” μας κρασιά από την Κρήτη! Λιάτικο, Βιδιανό & Ασύρτικο γέμισαν τα ποτήρια των εκλεκτών καλεσμένων μας: οινοχόοι, αγοραστές κρασιού, εισαγωγείς, δημοσιογράφοι οίνου, έμποροι, εστιάτορες και ξενοδοχεία! Όλοι λάτρεις και υποστηρικτές των ποιοτικών ελληνικών κρασιών! Σας ευχαριστούμε θερμά για την παρουσία σας! Ελπίζουμε να σας ξαναδούμε σύντομα!
