This is King Leer, our Storm-Born IPA. A tempest in a tankard.
It channels the fury and wisdom of Shakespeare’s tragedy into a noble English ale. Brewed with earthy Jester and bright Emperor hops, it opens with aromas of wet heath and citrus peel, echoing Lear’s lonely wanderings upon the storm-swept moor.
The malt backbone—rich with toffee, biscuit, and a touch of oak—grounds the bitterness like the steadfast heart of Kent.
Each sip unfolds with tragic grandeur: bitterness and sweetness locked in royal conflict, resolving in a dry, contemplative finish.
Tasting Notes: Caramel malt, herbal hop spice, zesty, lingering noble bitterness.
