The Aggelakis family entered poultry farming in 1962, when Nikolaos and Panagiota Aggelakis
created a small family-owned poultry-breeding business in Chalkida, Evia. As market conditions
have evolved, the increased demand for fresh poultry resulted in the transformation of the
small family-owned company to a modern, vertically-integrated one. acquired its current business structure and opened its
own modern slaughterhouse in the
region of Pournos, 20 km Northeast of Chalkida , on the island of Evia. The next generation of
Aggelakis family dynamically affected the business, as it developed into a well-organised poultry
