📰We are so proud to be on the cover of the current Werde Magazin and featured with a 10-page article about, our farm, the farm from where it all started.
👩🌾Amongst the first few farms in Greece to be . The farm which inspired us through its uniqueness to open it for learning, so we created The Southern Lights - Το Νότιο Σέλας non-profit organisation and the farm that transitioned in 2015 into , almost by itself, upon which we then discovered and the initiative Regenerative Farming Greece was born, aiming to bring this practice to all farmers in Greece.

🌿Welcome to Silver leaf, a family-owned organic food processing facility and exporting enterprise founded in 1987 by Stavros Darmos, one of the first organic farmers in Greece. Our aim was, and remains, to provide organic products from our farm and other local farmers who have also converted to organic farming methods inspired by our pioneer founder.
Over the years, with an intention to further support farmers in Greece, we have evolved our vision to push beyond organic farming and to create the market and knowledge necessary to support farmers in a regenerative farming transition.🌱

So we found our partners PermaLab and Regen Habitat and created the which aims to bring to Greece. We created all over Greece representing the most common agricultures in Greece, while providing a lot of online content in Greek language.

While silver leaf is supporting this work through giving access to infrastructure, materials and tools but also through payed staff, it is Greek foundations and the program that support a lot of its work, and not to forget the many international volunteers that help in the hands-on actions like planting.

After a journey of over 30 years, we realize that in the end, it is the people who will make the difference. Farmers by caring for their land and their community, and our solidarity partners sharing our fine foods and the farmers story, worries, hopes and dreams, with their consumers. We feel blessed working with all those inspiring people together and we feel it is our duty to bring those two distance, yet so connected worlds and people together. Those that believe in and make possible a different reality.
In our processing and packaging facility, based in the South of Peloponnese, we store, select, check for quality and process the organic grown and locally sourced products and turn them into super delicious and healthy fine foods. So that in the end, through our solidarity partners abroad, healthy and clean food arrives at our consumers plates.
In the meantime our own farm, that once was one of the first organic farms in Greece, hosts our non-profit organization The Southern Lights, that we founded officially in the beginning of this year. Through our non-profit organization we want to spread the knowledge on regenerative farming and living practices locally and internationally while at the same time providing a hub for students, learners and changemakers. In this process our farm is transforming into an agroforestry system, which mimics natural forests, while providing an abundance of food - and serving as a research and demonstrational farm.
