What a blessing it was to welcome the Anacafé Cup of Excellence team to La Hermosa.

We shared coffee, stories, laughter, and time together in the place we call home. Moments like these remind us that some of the best things in coffee happen far away from the cupping table.

Over the years, we’ve come to realize that coffee is much more than a crop. It’s a bridge. A way to connect people from different places, backgrounds, and experiences around a common table.

More importantly, it reminds us that coffee is simply an instrument God uses to testify of His greatness, His provision, and His faithfulness throughout every season.

Thank you to the entire Cup of Excellence team for your visit, your friendship, and the opportunity to share a little piece of La Hermosa with you.

Our doors will always be open.

6th and 9th place.

Seeing those numbers brings a lot of emotions.

Not because of the ranking itself, but because we know what stands behind it. Early mornings, long harvest days, countless decisions in the field, trust in our team, and a shared commitment to always keep learning.

This year, our Exotic Honey/Natural Process coffees earned 6th and 9th place at the Guatemala Cup of Excellence 2026.

We are grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. Our team, our family, our partners, and the buyers and roasters who continue to believe in what we do.

Coffee has a way of bringing people together from different corners of the world. Today, we’re simply thankful to be part of that story.

Congratulations to all the producers who participated and continue pushing Guatemalan coffee forward.

We don’t think we’ve properly introduced our guardian yet.

This is El botas.

He’s usually the first to show up when someone visits, stays close, walks the patios like he has responsibilities… even if he doesn’t.

Always around, always watching.

Spend a little time here and you’ll understand why he’s part of this place.

As you walk closer, they all go on alert.

Heads up, eyes on you, like you just walked into their meeting.

They don’t miss much around here.
And honestly… they act like they run the place. Because they do.

If you watch this closely, it almost looks like the sacks move on their own.

They don’t.

Every single one gets carried here, one by one, weighed, and sent to the secadora. No shortcuts, no machines doing the heavy work.

No CrossFit here.
Just a lot of reps… and a lot of respect for the coffee.

If you stand here long enough, you’ll see the whole day change.

Morning starts cool, coffee feels heavy. By noon, everything opens up. By the afternoon, you’re watching the sky more than the ground.

We walk these patios all day. Not because we have to, but because things change fast here.

Drying coffee teaches you to pay attention.

No one takes photos here like they do during harvest, but this is where everything begins. We check them, water them, move around them slowly.

Can you guess how much time have these babies been around?

They’ll grow when they’re ready.

Sit down and talk with them for a while and things shift. You hear the stories, the years behind it, what actually matters.

It puts things into perspective pretty fast.

They’re part of what we do here.
And part of what ends up in your cup.

It comes from Ethiopia, and once you start working with it, you understand why it traveled this far.

It behaves differently, grows differently, and shows up in the cup in its own way.

That’s the part we enjoy.

We’re incredibly honored and grateful to share that La Hermosa received 1st Place in the Acatenango Valley Regional Competition for the 2025–2026 harvest.

This recognition means so much to us, not just because of the award itself, but because of everything behind it: the early mornings, the long harvest days, the care in every process, and the people who pour their hearts into this farm every single day.

To represent Acatenango Valley in this way is something we don’t take lightly. We’re thankful to God, to our team, and to everyone who believes in what we do. One harvest, one region, and a whole lot of love behind every cup.
