We are part of the coffee ecosystem, which generates economic income for half a million people in Guatemala.

We believe that a thriving coffee sector can only be achieved if we all grow together, so we are committed to try, learn and share.

Picking only what’s ready.

On a farm, very little should go to waste.

What comes out of one part of the process can become something useful in another.

We reuse, recycle, compost, and keep as much as we can inside the farm.

That’s a big part of how we think about traceability too:
knowing where things come from, where they go, and how to give them another use.

For us, coffee is more than what ends up in the cup.

It’s the mornings in the field.
The weather we can’t control.
The hands that pick each cherry.
The patios full of coffee.
The waiting.
The tasting.
The people.

We get to live coffee every day, and that still feels pretty special.

So today, we’re celebrating the drink, the work, and everyone who makes it part of their life.

During patio drying, coffee is constantly moved and reshaped to control how much sun and air it gets. Changing the depth of the layer helps us slow things down or speed them up depending on the weather.

Drying coffee is basically a daily negotiation with the sun.

Young coffee plants don’t love full sun yet.

That’s why the almaciguera stays shaded. Too much heat can stress the plants before they’re ready for the field.

A little protection early on makes a big difference later. And water, lots of water.
