Today's the day, happy St Patrick's Day and happy Casa de Larry Happy Hour day! Sun, rain, or wind, we'll be carrying on!

We are celebrating our season finale today at Casa de Larry in Santa Cruz with our St Paddy's Day themed community block party open to all in our lake community with live music, fresh hot pupusas, draft beer, green cucumber Mezcalitas, dancing and fun with friends and neighbors!

Doors own and live music kicks off at 5pm with an opening acoustic guitar and singing from Marshall Perry. Then we'll be funking it up on the dance floor with the Jazz Funk Fusion Kevin Warner trio until 9 PM. Bring your Irish dancing shoes to go with your lucky green outfits and shamrocks tonight!

Boats going back to Panajachel and San Pedro and stops in between available after the music is over.

Ever Rizo and family will be grilling up fresh hot pupusas all night long. Come enjoy a St Paddy's pupusa patty! Community snack and salad buffet available as well. Come get your hands on one of Sarah's famous Irish Potatoes dessert! Bring an item to share and recieve a free drink on us!

The bar will be featuring 86 Sacrifice Mezcal from Antigua with a delicious St Paddy's Cucumber Mezcalita! Cerveceria Catorce is also on tap with the incredible fresh Dale Pale Ale and rich dark Pinchazo Stout beer on draft. Full coctail and mocktail bar available as well.

We're sad to be leaving soon and calling this our last party of the season but so excited to still bring everyone together for one last Casa de Larry Happy Hour community party. To all our friends, neighbors and community here at the lake, come join for a night of fun, dancing and connection. Doors open at 5, music runs from 5 to 9 and boats returning at 9 30. Cheers 🍻 ☘️

Casa de Larry is celebrating our final community Happy Hour of the season this coming Tuesday, St. Patty's Day March 17th here at Casa de Larry in Santa Cruz. Doors open at 5, with live music running from 5 to 9.

We'll be featuring Kevin Warner's Trio with Jazz Funk Fusion to dance the night away! Warm up music with Marshall Perry on the guitar starting at 5.

Ever Rizo and family will be cooking up incredible homemade pupusas! St Paddy pupusa patties for everyone! It's going to be a pupusa patty Paddy party!

Mixing it up at the bar this time with Cerveceria Catorce draft beer! Fresh hoppy Dale Pale Ale and delicious dark Pinchazo Stout. Mezcaleria 86 Sacrifice from Antigua will also be pouring delicious Mezcal all night long. Full bar and mocktails available as well!

Wear your festive greens and leprechaun attire and prepare to dance the night away with all our fun community, friends and neighbors from around the lake.

Boats back to Panajachel and San Pedro and all points in between available after the live music around 9:30.

Can't wait to celebrate one more time with all until we return next season!

Casa de Larry's Mardi Gras/Carnival Happy Hour community block party is this evening, Tuesday February 10th starting at 5pm at Casa de Larry in Santa Cruz.

Costumes, masks, live music and dancing! Kicking things off with our youngest rock n' roll all stars the CBA band! Then right into the jazz, blues, and funk from Don Bruno's Catfunk Blues Band.

Restaurante Nimajay slinging fresh hot pizzas all night long. Alongside a community snack and salad buffet table. Bring a snack to share and recieve a free drink on us. Special bonus this week as I have not 1, not 2, but 3 chefs staying with me this week and each bringing a little something special to the table.

Antigua Cerveza Guatemalan craft beer available on tap along with a full bar including our non-alcoholic mocktails. Dark delicious Cucurucho Stout or fresh hoppy Chichicaste Double IPA.

Boats available back to Panajachel and Jaibalito and beyond after the live music finishes by 10PM.

Gold, green and purple are the Mardi Gras colors, the masquerade is the Carnival past time, but the dancing shoes are the Casa de Larry specialty!

Come join us for another incredible evening with our lake community filled with friends and neighbors, new and old! Doors open at 5, live music going until 9, boats returning to Panajachel and Jaibalito and further by 10.

Casa de Larry is hosting our Mardi Gras/Carnival Happy Hour this coming Tuesday February 10th starting at 5pm. You can bring a masquerade, costume, some beads but whatever you do, don't forget your dancing shoes!

Live jazz and funk music by the Catfunk Blues Band with Bruce Gay and company. Maybe also another showing of the young and upcoming CBA band to warm things up with some of the best classic rock and roll songs that predate them by a half century!

Amazing craft draft beer brewed right here in Guatemala by Antigua Cerveza! Delicious dark Cucurucho stout and freshing Chichicaste Double IPA! Full bar with mocktails also available.

Santa Cruz's own Restaurante Nimajay will have the fresh hot pizzas cooking all night long too. Community snack and salad buffet available along side, bring a dish to share and recieve a free drink on us.

Boats back to Panajachel and Jaibalito and further if requested, leaving after the live music is over at 10 PM.

It's time to "Bring Out Your Dead" to the Grateful Dead memorial Casa de Larry Happy Hour tomorrow, Thursday January 29th! Doors open at 5 PM with music going until 10 PM. Boats back to Panajachel then to San Pedro with stops in between. Open to all in our communities around the lake. Rain or shine or wind (forecast is showing a calm down woooo!)

Live music with Marshall Perry opening with acoustic guitar solos into the awesome classic rock and roll band Fusión Fix. Get ready to dance the night away!

Fresh hot pizzas by Restaurante Nimajay and a big community snack and salad buffet . Bring something to share and recieve a free drink on us.

Incredible Guatemalan craft beer poured on tap by Antigua Cerveza along with a full bar of cocktails and mocktails.

Come celebrate the lives of those not with us by celebrating with those who are! Bring a picture or momento or a little dedication card for a loved one if you wish.

On Thursday January 29th, Casa de Larry will be hosting our memorial celebration of life block party for all of those no longer with us around the lake. Larry Sr passed away 2 years ago and last January we celebrated his life with our "Wake to Wake the Grateful Dead". This anniversary, we continue in our Grateful Dead theme but this time in honor of all those loved ones including the great Bob Weir who are no longer with us. We celebrate their life by celebrating our lives here together still.

Come join us Thursday January 29th at Casa de Larry in Santa Cruz for our "Bring out your Dead" Happy Hour celebration of life.

We will have the incredible band Fusión Fix playing all the old classics from the Grateful Dead and plenty of other fantastic classic rock. Opening for the Fusion Fix will be Marshall Perry on guitar. Live music will play from open at 5 PM until 9:30 PM.

Fresh baked pizzas by Santa Cruz's Restaurante Nimajay available all night long along with a full salad and snack buffet. Bring a tasty treat to share if you wish and recieve free drink on us.

Incredible Guatemalan craft beer available on draft by Antigua Cerveza. Try their hoppy double IPA Chichicaste or their dark and delicious stout Cucurucho on tap. Full bar and mocktails available as well.

We will have boats returning to Panajachel and to San Pedro (with all stops in between) leaving from Casa de Larry around 10 PM after the band finishes playing.

Its a Grateful Dead themed evening so be sure to bring your tie-dye, headbands, and of course your dancing shoes. We will be celebrating the lives of our lost loved ones and will have a shrine of remembrance for them. So if you have a memento or photo you'd like to add or just a card with some words, please feel free to bring and share into our shrine.

I watched and learned what it meant to live, and I hold dear to my heart that the best way to remember and honor those not with us anymore is to live fully in the presence of those who still are. So come join us all, open to everyone across our Lake Atitlán community, our friends and neighbors, those we've known for years and those we look forward to meeting now.

It's a beautiful time of year (here on Lake Atitlán) and with it comes the holiday season full of festive gatherings.

Come join us tomorrow, Tuesday December 23rd at Casa de Larry in Santa Cruz for our Holiday Convivio Casa de Larry Happy Hour. Open to all as a way to celebrate our awesome community here on the lake.

We'll have live music with the La Piedra del Zope Gt band to dance the night away.

Fresh hot local pizza will be cooked on sight with Restaurante Nimajay. We'll also have a community snack and salad buffet table. Bring an item to share and receive a few drink on us.

Guatemalan artisanal beer available on tap provided by Antigua Cerveza! Dark stout and hoppy Double IPA. Not to mention a full bar with cocktails and even mocktails for our alcohol free friends and family's.

Doors open at 5 PM, live music will run from 6 to 9 ish, and boats returning to Panajachel first then to Jaibalito and all the way to San Pedro with points in between starting at 10.

Come join our incredible community appreciation celebration as we close out the year and welcome the next.

And I can't believe I have to say this at this time of year but we'll be dancing and prancing Rain or Shine (or wind).

Casa de Larry is back for another beautiful season with our wonderful community of friends and neighbors.

Come celebrate the start of this incredible season here in Santa Cruz and Lake Atitlán next Tuesday December 23rd with our Casa de Larry Happy Hour Christmas Convivio! Doors opening at 5pm.

Live music 🎶 and dancing 🕺 from our local band La Piedra del Zope Gt running from 6pm to 9pm! Bring those dance shoes to dance the night away.

Fresh hot pizza from Restaurante Nimajay and a big community snack bar buffet. Bring an item to share and recieve a drink on us!

We'll have amazing local craft beer on tap from Antigua Cerveza, including their dark and delicious stout beer Cucurucho and a refreshing hoppy double IPA Chichicaste. Along with a full bar of cocktails and mocktails for fun with the whole family.

Happy to share the announcement that Casa Sulis will be hosting a dog Sterilization clinic up in La Aldea San Juan Argueta, a small rural part of our Solola department. They hope to be able to sterilize 50 animals that day. Happy that the Casa de Larry Estate Sale fund raiser could help contribute to this effort.

We've officially closed our Casa de Larry Estate/Yard sale community fund raiser and I'm happy to report we raised Q13,050 all of which will be going to charity.

75% of the funds will be going to the Amigos de Santa Cruz new Colegio Siqajan school construction project

15% to the Tzununa Dog Sanctuary Perros Libres

10% to the next Casa Sulis Dog Spay and Neuter Clinic.
