Hey y’all! Today is Mexico’s Independence Day! And what better to go with independence and Mexico then BEER BRATS! Wait…that’s not Mexican!?! Au…contraire. A lot of what we love about Mexico’s culture, especially beer, has to do with waves of German immigrants moving to Mexico in the mid 1800s. And with them they brought (and taught) the citizens of Mexico all about amazing beer, but also brought the tradition of sausage making. And while your chorizo might be considered “traditional” Mexican, who’s to say there aren’t some old Mexicans still hanging out with some old German gringos, still making beer and maybe, just maybe some bratwurst! So there…that’s six degrees of separation on how brats are an appropriate Cinco De Mayo food! So come and grab some traditionally German Mexican brats and celebrate freedom!!! Cheers! 🍻🍻
