A significant milestone for Guyana’s agro-processing sector has been realized as Maliyah’s Kitchen expands into the United States market through a strategic partnership facilitated by the Guyana Office for Investment (GO-Invest).
Through this collaboration with Dave’s West Indian Imports, a well-established distributor serving the North American market, Maliyah's Kitchen will bring authentic Guyanese products to a wider international consumer base. The company's 'Made in Guyana' certification further reflects its commitment to quality, and local value-added production.
GO-Invest extends sincere congratulations to Maliyah’s Kitchen on this noteworthy export achievement and expresses appreciation to Dave’s West Indian Imports for partnering to bring Guyanese products to the global marketplace.
As part of its mandate, GO-Invest continues to actively promote export development and market expansion for Guyanese businesses by facilitating strategic partnerships, improving access to international markets, supporting export readiness, and advancing the visibility of locally manufactured and agro-processed products under the Brand Guyana initiative.
This accomplishment underscores the growing competitiveness of Guyana’s agro-processing industry and highlights the value of strategic partnerships in unlocking new export opportunities, strengthening market access, and supporting the international growth of local businesses.
Hon. Peter R. Ramsaroop, Member of Parliament and Guyana’s Chief Investment Officer, noted that expanding export opportunities for local businesses remains a key pillar of Guyana’s economic diversification strategy under the leadership of His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali.
“Guyanese products continue to demonstrate that they can compete successfully in international markets once given the right support, partnerships, and access. Export promotion is not only about trade, but about creating sustainable opportunities for local businesses, agro-processors, farmers, and entrepreneurs while advancing Brand Guyana globally,” he stated.
