We have stock! 1994 Georges Lignier Bonnes Mares. Silky, textured, sappy and mind blowing density for an “off-year”. We adore wines made in the rustic, cloudy and voluptuous mouth feel of the past decades against the younger drinking more approachable style of today’s burgundies.

Rose petals, potpourri, hint of Vosne spice. Lingering acidity, balanced, light-footed and charming. DRC since the mid 2000s has moved to a lighter, more approachable style and drinking well in infancy.

Drinking history: 1953 Armand Rousseau Clos de la Roche. Beautiful flat bottles that were popular in the 40s & 50s but didn’t catch on. Rousseau used these for their CDLR and GC 1er 1952. The wine lasted all night. Tertiary notes, mushroom, wet stones, Earth, animale. Some old fruit emerged after an hour but faded near end. Fantastic experience.
