【Hisayo’s Sushi Roll/ Natto Sushi Roll】

This is a “delicious and cheap” sushi roll recipe made by my mother for kids. ✨💖
The natto roll can even help kids who dislike natto start eating it! 🤪
Serves 3-4
White rice: 2 cups
Sushi vinegar: 4-5 tbsp
Nori sheets (large sushi rolls): 10 sheets
Eggs: 3
Sugar: 2 tsp
Salt: a pinch
Cucumbers: 2
Paul Wiener sausages (pre-cooked sausages in orange film) 5
Mayonnaise to taste
Natto 1-2 packs
Green onions 1-2
1. Cook 2 cups of rice (use slightly less water than usual). While still hot, mix in sushi vinegar.
2. When mixing, move the rice paddle in a cutting motion (to avoid crushing the grains).
※ If someone can help, have them fan the rice with a hand fan or similar⭕️
Prepare toppings
3. Finely chop the green onions.
4. Mix the natto with the included soy sauce.
5. Add salt and sugar to the egg mixture and beat.
6. Heat oil in a frying pan and make an omelet.
7. Cut the omelet into sticks.
8. Roll the cucumber in salt on the cutting board, peel, and cut into sticks.
9. Remove the wieners from the package and cut them in half.
10. Place nori on the sushi mat and spread the sushi rice thinly, leaving about 3 cm free at one end.
Hisayo Roll
11. Arrange cucumber, sausage, and egg about 2 cm from the front edge. Drizzle a thin line of mayonnaise over them.
Natto Roll
12. Place natto and green onion about 2 cm from the front edge.
13. Roll tightly using the bamboo mat as support.
14. Cut into appropriate pieces and arrange on a plate.
⚫️Even if you can't roll it perfectly, that's part of the charm.
⚫️Putting too much sushi rice or filling makes it harder to roll.
