【🌿有機小知識（上） 食有機菜 守護地球】

大家平時買有機菜，最在意啲咩？係驚化學殘留、想支持環保，定係想揀優質營養？🌱
好多人以為有機只係一組標籤，但其實佢背後有一套好嚴謹嘅理念。根據國際有機農業聯盟 (IFOAM) 嘅標準：

「有機農業是一套基於一定程序的整全系統，它的結果是可持續的生態系統、安全的食物、良好的營養、動物福利與及社會公義。故此有機農業，不單只是一套容許或不容許使用某些物質的生產系統。」

1️⃣ 保護生物多樣性：大自然嘅天然免疫系統 🐝
一個健康嘅農場，絕對唔應該得農作物！根據有機標準，耕作必須要維持同埋增強農場內嘅生物多樣性：

🦆 建立自然生物鏈 ： 有機農場會保留原生植被同棲息地，吸引益蟲、青蛙同雀鳥進駐。

🐛 天然防治病蟲害 ： 利用大自然「一物治一物」嘅食物鏈去搞定蟲害，咁就唔使依賴外來嘅化學干預，等農場形成一個自給自足嘅防禦系統！

2️⃣ 應對氣候變化：有機耕作··係「碳匯」高手！🌍
雖然有機標準入面未必成日見到「氣候變化」呢四個字，但其實佢嘅條文處處都幫緊地球減碳同固碳：

❌ 拒絕高能耗合成肥料 ： 生產同施用化學氮肥，係農業產生溫室氣體（例如一氧化二氮 N2O）嘅主要元凶。香港有機資源中心 (HKORC) 嚴格禁止使用合成肥料，從源頭幫農場減低碳足跡！

♻️ 廢物循環變舊為寶 ： 有機標準要求農場將動植物廢棄物轉化為堆肥。咁樣做不單止可以減少垃圾去堆填區產生甲烷，仲可以將碳鎖喺泥土入面（土壤固碳），係對抗暖化嘅核心大招！

⛈️ 增強對抗極端天氣嘅韌性 ： 透過種植綠肥同維持生態緩衝帶，令泥土更健康，就算面對暴雨沖刷或者乾旱，農田都有更強嘅頂薪能力。

Thank you for showing your support on our school open day. All freshly harvested vegetables were sold out before the end of the event. All proceeds will be donated to Camõesian Organic Garden for further development, and so more organic vegetables will be grown for our students. Last but not least, we do very much appreciate all the hard work from our parent gardeners, this would not have been possible without their voluntary contributions. Thanks again for coming, we hope to see you all again next year 🙂
