Soldera: A Story of Conviction
In 1972, Gianfranco and Graziella Soldera acquired the abandoned Case Basse estate in Montalcino, with a simple but ambitious vision: to create one of Italy’s greatest wines. Over the following decades, Soldera became a benchmark for uncompromising quality, producing wines that reflected both place and time with remarkable purity.
Then, in 2012, tragedy struck. A former employee deliberately opened several ageing casks, causing the loss of multiple vintages and tens of thousands of litres of wine.
For many producers, such an event could have marked the end.
For Soldera, it became part of the story.
Rather than compromising standards or changing direction, the estate continued to follow the same philosophy that had defined Case Basse from the beginning: respect for nature, patience, and absolute dedication to quality.
Today, Soldera is admired not only for its rarity, but for the values behind every bottle.

Soldera:
