And I know that when you do something with commitment and passion it then becomes true. Along the way, we met people who shared and believe in the same values. Love at the first sight was with Valentina Argiolas, owner of Argiolas winery. She became part of our family helping us in creating continuity and promoting Italian realities in Asia. Through our wines Certa is building a bridge to connect different cultures. We are driven by the love and passion we feel for what we do and we want you to taste, smell, enjoy and remember the stories held in each bottle. Nowadays, Certa has its headquarter in HK, operating all over the Middle East and Asia Pacific, trading with 26 countries. In 2018 our project is going to involve other Mediterranean wineries with the intention of bringing their interesting history and reality to Asia.

Our summer tour continues — rediscovering and retasting our favourite whites.

The Chardonnay Collezione by Castello di Monsanto is not what you’d expect from Chianti Classico country — and that’s exactly the point. Fabrizio Bianchi’s white has always stood slightly apart from everything else the estate does. Grown on the estate’s own vineyards in Barberino Val d’Elsa, precise, restrained, unhurried.

The 2024 is the current release. If you want to understand where it goes with time - swipe left and find the 2005.

The 2024 opens with citrus and white flowers, clean and taut, with a mineral finish that lingers. The 2005, tasted alongside, has moved somewhere deeper — dried fruit, toasted nuts, a richness that only time can build. Two expressions of the same conviction, twenty years apart.

New label from — and perfect for this summer!

What it is: A white wine by Petrolo, 100% Trebbiano Toscano, IGT Toscana. It takes its name from Torrione — the estate’s first modern-era wine (born 1988) — and extends that idea into a white expression.

Vineyards: Made from the younger Trebbiano vineyards on the estate, selected with the same precision used for Bòggina B.

In the cellar: Natural vinification with native yeasts in French oak tonneaux. Aged sur lies for over 15 months with regular bâtonnage, gradually reduced over time. Never racked until bottling.

Format: Non-vintage — a blend of different lots and harvests, each release identified by a lot number rather than a year. Around 4,000 bottles produced.

The idea behind it: More than a new label, it’s a continuity — the spirit of Torrione (blend, territory, identity) now expressed through Trebbiano, and a statement of confidence in what this grape can do at Petrolo.

Tavel is the only AOC in France built entirely around rosé — and it has been since 1936. That’s not a trend. That’s a terroir. The Vignerons de have been working these stony southern Rhône soils since 1931, producing reds, whites and rosés from two appellations that rarely get the attention they deserve. We’re bringing them to Hong Kong this May.
