CLOSURE OF SMWS HONG KONG OPERATIONS
Dear Members,
It is with genuine sadness that we share the news of the closure of SMWS operations in Hong Kong. Despite our best efforts to adapt to an increasingly challenging environment, we’ve been unable to find a sustainable way to continue serving our vibrant community of members here. This wasn’t an easy decision, and we know it may be disappointing to many of you, as it is to us.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support and enthusiasm. Your passion for the Society and the experiences we’ve shared together have meant the world to us.
Our last day of operation will be Sunday, 29 December 2024.
MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS
We’re committed to making this transition as smooth as possible and are pleased to offer the following options:
Option 1: FREE Membership in another SMWS branch
Want to continue sharing the wh**ky love? We're able to offers members who have a valid address in another country where the Society operates, a FREE one-year membership for that branch. If you'd like to take up this offer, please reach out to Kelvin Tam by Saturday, November 30 2024.
Option 2: Complimentary Bottle
For members who joined or renewed before 31 May 2024 with ‘membership only’ packages and members who have joined or renewed in the past 12 months with Membership & Bottle/Hamper, our team are making arrangements to send a bottle of Society wh**ky to say thank you and farewell.
Option 3: Refund
For members who joined or renewed after June 1 2024 with ‘membership only’ packages, we'll be happy to organise a full refund of your membership fee. You don't need to do anything, our team are already getting ready to make this happen.
