☕ From our place to yours! 🏡

Who says you need to visit a coffee studio to learn how to make great coffee?

We packed up our espresso machine, grinder, coffee beans, milk, and all the little essentials, and brought the full coffee experience straight to our students’ home! 🚗💨From setting up our mini coffee station to pulling espresso shots and practicing latte art, it was all about learning, experimenting, and having fun together.

No equipment? No problem! We bring everything you need. All you have to do is show up (at your own home 😉) and enjoy the experience.

Whether it’s a fun activity with friends, a family gathering, or simply a chance to level up your coffee skills, we’re happy to bring the workshop to you!

What the heck are these little flakes in my ground coffee? ☕

They’re called chaff — the thin, papery layer that comes off coffee beans during roasting. Once the beans are ground, some of that chaff can end up mixed in with your coffee grounds.

A small amount usually won’t make a huge difference, but when there’s a lot of chaff, it can sometimes add papery, dry, or astringent notes, making your coffee taste a little less clean.

Want to get rid of it? Here are two super easy ways:

💨 Method 1: Air blower
After grinding, gently blow across the surface of the grounds and shake the ground coffee couple times. Chaff is much lighter than ground coffee, so it’ll fly away pretty easily. Just don’t blow too hard!

👆 Method 2: Pick it out with your fingers
If you only see a few larger pieces, simply pick them out by hand. Easy.

**Personally, I prefer to remove as much chaff as possible, especially when brewing washed coffees. I find that it helps produce a cleaner-tasting cup, and in pour-over brewing, removing some of those lightweight flakes may also help reduce clogging toward the final pours.**

If you are struggling with a muddy cup of coffee, just try this little step, and it should change the flavor quite a bit.

Hidden Killer of Your Premium Coffee Machine ☠️

Many coffee lovers rarely use the hot water function on their espresso machine because they are told so🙂

That makes sense, cuz drawing hot water actually temporarily reduce steam pressure and affect your steaming performance.

But here’s the hidden problem: never using it at all may slowly damage your lovely machine.

Inside the steam boiler, water is constantly heated over and over again. Over time, minerals build up, creating scale deposits that reduce heating efficiency, slow recovery time, and increase wear on internal components.

Premium dual boiler machines can be even more vulnerable, because their larger steam boilers often hold the same water for long periods if the hot water wand is never used.

Simple fix?
Just occasionally run the hot water function to flush out older water and allow fresh water into the boiler.

A small habit that can help protect a big investment. ✨
