Hello everyone! I’m Engineer William Amaya, and today we’re at one of the coffee plots at Finca Terrerito.

Today we’re conducting a tree inventory, an important activity that allows us to identify and document the different tree species growing throughout our farm.

As part of this process, we’re also measuring the height of each tree and evaluating its canopy cover—the shade it provides to our coffee plants.

This information helps us better understand and manage our agroforestry system, ensuring the right balance between coffee production and a healthy ecosystem.

By carrying out this work, we’re strengthening our commitment to protecting biodiversity, conserving native flora and fauna, and producing extraordinary coffee in harmony with nature.

At Finca Terrerito, every tree matters, because sustainability begins one tree at a time. 🌳☕🐦

🌱 At Finca Terrerito, sustainability is vital; protecting and conserving our soil is our top priority.

Performing one-cubic-meter soil pits across our plots is an essential practice to understand the health of the land. This physical analysis allows us to identify textures, moisture, colors, and detect any hard layer that limits the development of the main root.

In the end, all this field effort translates into more resilient plants, better nutrient uptake, and more sustainable coffee farming. ☕🌿

From the Mountains of Honduras to Italy: A Milestone for Smallholder Coffee Farmers

Today we celebrate a milestone: our first coffee container destined for Italy.

This shipment represents much more than coffee. It represents the dedication of smallholder farmers, the hard work of our team, and the growing ability of Honduran producers to reach specialty coffee markets around the world.

Through Finca Terrerito’s processing, consolidation, and export services, coffees from our farm and from independent producers in our region are now reaching new international destinations.

Every bag in this container carries a story of perseverance, quality, and opportunity.

We are proud to support farming families, care for our environment, and connect extraordinary coffees with roasters across the globe.

Caring for Mother Earth isn’t just a tagline for us—it’s how we grow every single bean. 🌿☕️ Our coffee thrives under the canopy of native shade trees that protect the soil and provide a sanctuary for hundreds of wildlife species. From above, you can see the vibrant green lung we proudly preserve here at Finca Terrerito. Happy World Environment Day🇭🇳✨
