At Island Springs we treat, purify, bottle, and distribute our water throughout the island in five different sizes: 5 gallons (19 liters), 1 gallon (3.8 liters), 1/2 gallon (1.9 liters), 1 liter, and 1/2 liter containers. In addition to water, we offer ice in block or crushed form. We are a small family business locally owned and ope

rated by the Gabourel family. We went into production in January of 2000, after the demand for bottled water began to grow. In the past we as islanders caught the rain water during the rainy season and that was our yearly supply of drinking water, but as more visitors came to the island we saw the need to provide a source of drinking water that was not yet available locally. We began with a small reverse osmosis machine with the capacity of 500 gallons per day, after the first 2 years of operation the machine was too small for the demand and needed to be upgraded. We are currently running a machine with the capacity of 5000 gallons per day with a second backup machine should we need to run it in parallel with the other.
