Kabola wines are produced from selected grapes grown in the northwestern part of the Istrian peninsula where soil, climate, location and tradition give the wines their unique "terroir". Vintners since 1891, the Markežić family has created a distinctive style of winemaking - one that respects the past and looks to the future.

🍷 Kabola Winery became part of a cinematic journey through Croatia, featured in the Croatian National Tourist Board’s latest campaign.

With John Malkovich and Janko Popović Volarić , the film showcases Croatia’s landscapes, heritage, gastronomy, and authentic stories.
At Kabola winery, it captured more than wine and vineyards it captured tradition, craftsmanship, and the spirit of Istria.

Proud to be part of a story that presents Croatia not just as a destination, but as an experience.

A winery is not only a place where wine is made.
It is a collection of stories, decisions, experiments, successes and generations of work hidden behind every bottle.

That is what we shared with Ben Fogle during his visit to Kabola winery.
From our vineyards overlooking northern Istria to the clay amphorae resting quietly beneath the cellar floor, the conversation wandered through history, nature, and the idea that some things are worth doing the slower way.

The amphorae remain at the heart of that story. Buried underground, they allow wine to mature in its own rhythm, without shortcuts and without rushing the process.

U nedjeljnom tiskanom izdanju Dobra hrana u Jutarnji objavljena je priča o našem novom podrumu, projektu koji nosi snažan pečat dugoročnog promišljanja i jasne vizije Marina Markežića, pionira vina iz amfore.

Razvijen je koncept koji tradicionalne sorte, Malvaziju Istarsku, Teran i Muškat Momjanski podiže na novu razinu kroz posebnu metodu vinifikacije u amforama, naglašavajući njihovu strukturu, aromatiku i autentičnost.

Od same ideje do realizacije, prostor je nastajao kao produžetak naše filozofije: vino nije samo proizvod, već živi dijalog s prirodom, protokom vremena i nasljeđem koje nas oblikuje. Jedinstven prostor za jedinstvena vina koja njegujemo generacijama. 🥂
