We had the most wonderful tasting **ery in Primošten, Croatia! 🇭🇷 🍷

We learned about the native Debit (white) and Babič (black) grape varieties they work with, as well as the unusual growing method in this area. Because it is so arid, the growers dig up the rock and create small grids within which they plant 1 or 2 vines so that the vines have promximate access to the water and coolness provided by the rocks. This naturally keeps grape yields low and requires hand harvesting as no machine would be able to maneuver those rocky plots. These w**es results w**es were fantastic!

A delightful stop on a hot summer Croatian day! ☀️

Fun fact: Babič is closely related to Zinfandel/Primativo! 🍇

Wanted something fresh and bubbly this afternoon to match the bright spring day here in San Antonio! 🌼🌸🌺

This 2022 sparkling orange muscat from **e delivered in spades! It was produced brut nature, so there is not cloying sweetness; it’s just pure crisp acidity and bursting with honeysuckle and citric aromas. It’s spring in a bottle!

My friends, Chef Ashley Odom and Bobby Humphries, capped off a beautifully paired sparkling w**e dinner with this gorgeous and delicious dessert!

🍷✨ Had the most incredible day discovering w**es at Serrano Wines in Fredericksburg, TX! 🌳❤️

From the moment we arrived, the cozy and welcoming atmosphere set the perfect tone for a journey through their w**es. We tasted a delightful array of w**es, each one more delicious than the last! 🍇🥂

Winemaker and co-owner, Sarah Garrett, was so knowledgeable and passionate, guiding us through the unique flavors and stories behind each bottle. She shared her and her husband’s journey from making w**e in Paso Robles to their move to Texas in 2021, and now making w**e in two states to create w**es that express the best of both geographies. We especially loved that their new labels are derived from Sarah’s grandfather’s paintings!

✨ Elisa Christoper Wines ✨

This afternoon we had the pleasure to explore the w**es at Elisa Christopher Wines (**es)! These w**es were an absolutely stunning… and we’ve had a lot of great w**es!

Our tasting journey started with a beautiful Méthode Champenoise Brut Trebbiano! I then enjoyed the standard tasting that currently includes a 2021 Vermentino, 2022 Cinsaut, 2022 Sangiovese, 2022 Mourvèdre, and 2021 Patriarch (50-50 Malbec-Merlot blend), all from Texas High Plains grapes 🍇 Each w**e was so distinctive in aroma and flavors, and exquisite!

We also had a fantastic time chatting with Elisa Jones, owner and w**emaker, about her process, w**es, and all sorts of other topics!

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

In San Antonio, many celebrate Christmas with tamales. This has become our new tradition over the last few years as we have adopted and been adopted by this incredible city and all the wonderful friends we have made.

The Adega Vinho () 2019 Parr Vineyards Tempranillo we chose for our holiday feast was the perfect pairing for all the complex flavors and spices!

We’re settling in for a quiet holiday at home with a tasty 2022 Noel from **es! With berry and baking spice notes is always a great way to enjoy the holidays with your loved ones!
