Welcome to our farm...
We are passionate about growing real food and bringing people together in meaningful ways to learn and live closer to the land. WHAT WE DO…
We offer courses and workshops in regenerative farming, sustainable living, permaculture and bamboo here in Bali. We give people practical knowledge and skills to help change their homes, communities, and lives. We provide food-garden
implementation and revitalisation services, and sell tools, seeds and most things needed to get started on growing food in the home. We work with skilled teachers from different parts of the world with expertise and hands-on experience on regenerative agriculture and environmental leadership. We want to grow food and promote food that’s grown is wholesome, honest ways through sustainable and regenerative farming practices. We want to live a hands-on life, do skill-based work, and develop real connections to place and people. Both in a local and global context. We’re not experts, but work with many and we are drawn to share our experiences with people interested in making the world a better place be. We hope The Kul Kul farm will open new doors and add something to your life - whether it's learning to start your own garden or understanding a bit more about how to support the earth that we all rely on to live. WHERE WE SPROUTED FROM…. In the centre of Bali, 20 mins south of Ubud, a bamboo school emerged alongside the Ayung River 10 years ago. Today kids, families, and educators, from around the world, are reinventing education in a one-of-a-kind holistic, eco-friendly environment made of open-air bamboo structures. Located next door to the Green School, The Kul Kul Farm has sprouted from the same vision to create future green leaders, and to take a stand for long-term regenerative agriculture practices. It is a lofty vision, but we’re here to play our humble part by sharing real skills and stories whilst supporting the implementation of regenerative, self- sustaining methods of growing food for the betterment of humanity and the planet. WHATS A KUL-KUL? The Kul-Kul in Bali is a hollowed out log (sometimes bamboo) that makes a “kul-kul-kul” sound. It is usually placed in a tower at the center of Balinese villages to call community gatherings, and signal important events as well as emergencies. For us it is the sound of coming-together. In its conception the Green School was named The Kul-Kul School, but “Green” was trendier and would be more internationally understood. The Kul-Kul name speaks to our connection to the school and our roots and dedication to Bali. We hope that our farm inspires you to embark on creative and fun experiences each day, and that you will visit us soon to share in our experience. We will update you often on upcoming courses and events. Please feel free to offer feedback via email at [email protected].
