Seguimos compartiendo estos días de Bali, que todavía tienen mucho por contar.

Entre caminatas con vistas increíbles, una infiltración bastante accidental en un hotel de lujo (de esas que no sabés bien cómo pasan 😅) y mucho tiempo en el mar, Nusa Dua fue uno de esos lugares que terminan apareciendo en el camino… y se disfrutan sin demasiado plan.

[ESP] ✨ ¡Nuevo video en YouTube! ✨

Con este episodio, ya nos vamos acercando al final de nuestra etapa en Bali (faltan solo 5 más 👀) y sueño con empezar a editar lo de la aventura actual antes de que termine el año 🚐🌎.

Este capítulo refleja un contraste enorme con el Bali que veníamos conociendo:

🌿 el paisaje cambió,
🌧️ el clima se volvió fresco,
🕌 la religión predominante era otra,
🍽️ hasta los sabores en la calle eran distintos.

Así como volamos a Bali sin saber que llegaríamos justo para Nyepi (el Día del Silencio, que ni sabíamos que existía 😅), también terminamos en Bedugul justo en Ramadán, donde la mayoría de la zona parecía ser musulmana. Fue una experiencia increíble y muy enriquecedora vivir de cerca la vida alrededor de las mezquitas, con rezos y lecturas del Corán que incluso escuchábamos a la madrugada desde el altavoz de varias a la vez.

También visitamos el icónico Templo Ulun Danu Beratan. Un lugar bellísimo pero muy turístico, donde a veces nos sorprendió ver actitudes poco respetuosas frente a un espacio sagrado. Nos dejó pensando mucho en cómo nos vinculamos con los lugares que visitamos 🙏.

La gastronomía también reflejaba esa mayoría musulmana, con platos y sabores que no habíamos encontrado en otras partes de Bali.

[ENG] ✨ New YouTube video is out! ✨

With this episode we’re getting closer to the end of our Bali series (only 5 left 👀), and I’m already dreaming of starting to edit our current adventure before the year is over 🚐🌎.

This chapter shows a striking contrast with the Bali we had seen so far:
🌿 the landscape changed,
🌧️ the weather turned cooler,
🕌 the predominant religion was different,
🍽️ even the street food had completely new flavours.

Just as we arrived in Bali without realising it was Nyepi (the Day of Silence, which we hadn’t even heard of 😅), we also happened to be in Bedugul during Ramadan, where most of the area seemed to be Muslim. It was an incredible and enriching experience to witness daily life around the mosques, with prayers and Quran recitations echoing from several loudspeakers at dawn.

We also visited the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple – stunning, but very touristy. At times we were surprised to see how little respect some visitors showed in such a sacred place. It made us reflect a lot on how we engage with the places we visit🙏.

The food also reflected the Muslim majority, with dishes and flavours we hadn’t come across elsewhere in Bali.

[ESP] El Museo Pelé, en el corazón del centro histórico de Santos, es una visita imperdible. 🏛️⚽

La entrada fue gratuita -no siempre lo es-, y está rodeado de callecitas coloniales llenas de historia y encanto.

La muestra es espectacular y transmite toda la grandeza de O Rei. 🇧🇷

💡 Súper recomendado para futboleros y curiosos de la historia.

Aclaro que mi esposo es excelente fotógrafo pero cuando yo estoy delante de la cámara muchas veces pareciera que saca las fotos con los pies. 🤦🏻‍♀️🫶🏼

[ENG] The Pelé Museum, in the heart of Santos’ historic center, is a must-visit. 🏛️⚽

Admission was free — though it’s not always — and it’s surrounded by charming colonial streets full of history and character.

The exhibition is spectacular and truly conveys the greatness of O Rei. 🇧🇷

💡 Highly recommended for football fans and history lovers.

Disclaimer: my husband is an excellent photographer, but whenever I’m in front of the camera it often looks like he’s taking the pictures with his feet. 🤦🏻‍♀️🫶🏼
