This building took years. 🌱
Years of dreaming, pausing, doubting, and choosing patience over shortcuts. And after being on hold for so long… we finally finished the building handover.

It didn’t just feel like “we got a building”. It felt like a milestone. A deep breath. A moment of “we’re really doing this.”

And as we stepped into this new space, we did something symbolic… we handed it over first to our dog; and Lulu 🐶

Because this place isn’t just a taproom. It’s a home. A space built with warmth, care, heart, and respect; for people, for community, and for animals too.

So yes, Bale Nagi Brewing will always be dog-friendly.
Because our dogs are part of our story, and part of our family; and when you visit us one day, your furry babies will be welcome here too.

This milestone isn’t the finish line.

But today, we pause. We celebrate. We say thank you — to everyone who believed, waited, supported, challenged, and walked alongside us.

Mother’s Day in Indonesia is a celebration of movement, and in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), this principle is lived out every day.

Here, mothers do much more than take care of homes and children. They work, lead, organise, protect the land, secure food, and hold communities together.

During our journey to learn about this region, we were welcomed warmly. They walked with us and showed us how to do things the right way.

We believe that the Bale Nagi Brewing team will have a lot of mothers along the way! 🧡

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗥&𝗗 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝗯—𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗧𝗧.

Our research is led by the land—its crops, seasons, and the people who’ve lived in harmony with it for generations.

We journeyed through the highlands of Mollo, tasted the pineapples of Flores, and knelt in dry fields where sorghum stands tall.

We learned not from textbooks, but from farmers, forests, and the flavour of memory.
We learn through the mothers knowledge, ancestral rhythm, and the ingredients nature offers freely.

We’re unlearning what we thought we knew, and learning to listen instead.

This is how Bale Nagi Brewing begins—rooted, respectful, and radically local.
Innovation doesn’t always mean new. Sometimes, it means returning.
