Our nightly welcomeā€¦ and unwelcome visitors.
The bat we have named ā€œdizzyā€ because he likes to twirl when he eats. He is diving our yard every night now that we have grass and plants and bugs and twirls the night away chomping them hanging by his tiny little legs from our table umbrella. Cute!

Every year this such a hard day for us. We stock up on groceries, and make sure we donā€™t have to leave the property. Keep close watch over our livestockā€¦ and are broken hearted over the 3 million animals being ritually slaughtered in Indonesia alone today. The worldwide total counting all Islamic countries is staggering. Saying a prayer for all of those creatures suffering needlessly today šŸ˜­

A Prayer for the Animals and the Final Sacrifice

ā€œHeavenly Father, Creator of every living creature,I come to You today seeking peace and comfort in my heart. Lord, You know how much it hurts me to think about the animals today. I pray for Your mercy over them right now. Please calm their fears, ease their distress, and let their passing be swift and free from prolonged suffering. You see every sparrow that falls, and I know these animals matter to You.Lord Jesus, I thank You from the bottom of my soul that You came to this earth to be the Lamb of God. Thank You that You bore the cross and shed Your precious blood as the final, perfect sacrifice for all time. Because of Your finished work, the curtain was torn, and the old system of endless blood and sacrifice has been completely undone.Thank You, Father, that You do not demand any further sacrifices from Your people. Thank You that we can rest entirely in Your grace, love, and mercy, knowing that the price has already been fully paid by Jesus.Please wrap Your peace around my home today. Keep my mind calm, keep my own animals safe and quiet, and let Your Holy Spirit fill this space with tranquility.In Jesusā€™ precious name, I pray.Amen."
